RAIDS: - Identifies, assesses and manages project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, escalating as appropriate via the agreed governance framework. &nbsp;Change Control: - Controls the scope of projects, ensuring that rigorous change control is exercised. Planning: - Ensures that sufficient level of detail project and quality plans are prepared and maintained for complex projects, providing regular and accurate reports on progress against plan to stakeholders as appropriate - Ensure sufficient level of flexibility and tolerance provided to tackle complex nature of project. Maintaining control of exceptions outside tolerance - Ensure project dependencies and assumptions are factored into the planning process. &nbsp;Financial Management: - Set out the business case for the programme taking into account information on benefits, costs, risks and timescales, concluding on whether it is desirable, viable and achievable - Responsible for constructing and managing the project financials (budget, forecast, actuals) - Providing detailed and robust report on variances to key stakeholders and the Steering group. &nbsp;Benefits Management: - Identify, define &amp; track the realisation of the project benefits in line with the expectation set out in the Business Case - Incorporate SMART way of benefit tracking covering Financial (revenue/cost) and Non-Financial (regulatory, customer/employee satisfaction, reputation) benefits - Ensuring any risks, issues or assumptions related to benefit realisation are outlined - Challenging stakeholders on the quantification of benefits and ensuring sufficient evidence to achieve them. &nbsp;Resource Management: - Project resource plans are maintained to ensure appropriately skilled and experienced individuals are appointed in line with delivery plans. - Ensure resourcing strategy creation, Internal / External vendor management, resource demand profile maintenance - Monitor actual performance against overall project and take remedial actions - Support resolving any escalation/shortfall in resources highlighted by workstream leads - Engaging with HR &amp; CRES for on boarding of new resources - Creating and maintaining resource requests at HR portals, and Reviewing actual performance against plan - Actively manages and challenges supplier resource models where appropriate. &nbsp;Governance and Reporting: - Define and implement governance and reporting structure appropriate for the project &nbsp;- Establish and run Working Group or Steerco meetings (as appropriate) - Ensures projects meet the desired requirements of Accountable Executives and that acceptance and handover to business as usual are managed against agreed acceptance criteria and to a defined plan - Ensures that all project status reporting is accurate, informative and timely, and directly provides progress reports as agreed as part of the governance framework at agreed intervals. &nbsp;Change Management : - Ensures that there is a business perspective on how the project deliverables will be delivered to the business, including planning around key business cycles, selecting appropriate customers for migration, etc. - Initiates and manages the business implementation plan, including all the activities that the business needs to do to prepare for new technical components and technologies or process/organisation changes. - Tracks and reports against these activities to ensure progress. - Championing and improving the project management process and success factors. - Facilitates the business change decision-making processes and the planning and implementation of change. - Oversee Training/communication activities to ensure it is fit for purpose for level of business change - Manage any people impact (incl. location strategy/union engagements/displacement activities). &nbsp;Stakeholder relationship management: - Ensures that stakeholder mapping &amp; stakeholder plan is comprehensive and considers internal and external stakeholders - Develops and manages one or more defined communication channels which facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders for multiple workstreams/projects. - Communication to key stakeholders/groups to keep them informed of key changes and potential impact of the project outcome through published status reports - Takes ownership for stakeholder management of multiple senior stakeholders within the assigned business area. - Facilitate negotiation/mediation between different stakeholders to aid decision making process. &nbsp;Change standards: - Ensures projects being managed are compliant with relevant governance methodologies (e.g. iCompass / SDLC / Agile and Navigator) - Ensures projects being managed are compliant with the central ePMO function's directives, initiatives and change handbook. - Ensures compliance to QA per Change Framework and initiates other assurance activities where required. Typical Support Required: - Minimal support required even in areas where new process or governance needs to be established. Challenging areas of comms with stakeholders dealt with autonomously in the majority of situations - Designs the majority of senior stakeholder communication autonomously seeking verification only by immediate managers - Primary interaction with immediate superiors likely to be on escalated issues only with the majority of these being managed by the job holder. Typical Scale and Complexity: - Runs small to mid-size projects, managing other project managers/leads and teams of up to 3 to 4 BAs/workstream leads. Also able to run projects concurrently - Typically faces off to Director and some MD level stakeholders Stakeholder Management and Leadership - Building relationships and working collaboratively across different geographic locations, including Management Reporting stakeholders and other risk functions. - Preparing and communicating results and key findings to senior management in a clear, consistent and business friendly manner. - Providing support to management, including the preparation of papers for tracking of actions and decisions. Decision-making and Problem Solving - Able to use judgement and analytical skills in report production and communications to stakeholders. - Able to navigate complexity and present information in a succinct and clear manner
