Please visit our website here for more information.  Department Name- Global Business Transformation  The GBT team acts as an internal process consultancy/ re-engineering team working with Barclays' top management across business units (APAC) on major strategic initiatives.  Role Purpose :  The Consultant would have to deliver significant end-to-end improvements to key operational and servicing processes using the Standard Barclays Lean Methodology and project management techniques while working with different parts of the Barclays group.  Manage change management initiatives around the implementation of new and re-engineered processes.  Key Accountabilities :  1. Process Improvement - 40%  - Hold accountability for scoping, implementation and execution of automating processes through RPA tools (Blue Prism, Open Span etc.). Work very closely with multiple stakeholders (solution architects, project team, technical development team) to successfully deliver automation solutions   - Successfully carry out Operational Re-engineering projects and process reviews as required by Global, Regional or in-country Operations primarily for APAC region  - Prepare businesses from an operational readiness stand-point during introduction of new products and services  - Successfully carry out Lean 1A & 1B/C penetration in the aligned business units/ functions through coaching and mentoring and driving the Lean DNA.  - Prepare country/ BU processes for migration to Lean Centers of Excellence methodology of transformation.  - Provide subject matter expertise on key aspects of managing operations such as processes, people, systems, risk and controls, MI, customer experience, costs etc.  - Ensure adherence to all local governance and external regulatory standards through robust operations processes  - Identify and deliver automation opportunities to improve the business processes  2. Change & Project Management - 30%  - Provide Project Management capability to setup, manage and control Lean projects throughout their lifecycle  - Identify and manage work stream interdependencies and risk and issues affecting the successful delivery of the project/ programme  - Understand and apply the principles of Change Management to ensure projects are technically sound and that the acceptance of change is optimised.  - Ensure, with country and regional business unit teams, that implementation projects are planned and resources in such a way to optimise the chances of benefits being realized in a timely manner and ensure that interruptions to business practice are minimal  - Play a key role in hand over to BAU to ensure smooth transition to re-designed processes bearing in mind the human aspects of change management  - Set up processes to monitor and manage changed processes and maintain their sustainability  3. Stakeholder Management - 20%  - Responsible for project stakeholder communication and management before and during the implementation  - Build working relationships with senior management, project team, and stakeholders and secure their support to achieve project goals  - Lead and facilitate project meetings and workshops, engaging stakeholders, subject matter experts and attendees at all levels  - Responsible for the collation of weekly project progress reports for regular meetings with the Head of GBT, Principal Consultant and stakeholders as required.  - Responsible for the on-time collection and analysis of all metrics related to projects under their control and the production of agreed format reports for the monthly business reviews.  4. Team Working - 10%  - Pursue own and teams' development to increase process improvement skills and personal effectiveness, acknowledging strengths and areas for improvement  - Share best practice both within and between team members across the business  - Actively coach, mentor, support and develop peers less experienced, colleagues  - Regularly and effectively deputize for the Head of GBT, Principal/ Senior Consultant at team level forums, project management/ steering committees and other key meetings with senior stakeholders  - Relationship Management  Build relationships with senior management and stakeholders and secure their support to achieve program goals  - Controls and Compliance  a) Ensure adherence to and compliance with governance, risk policies, procedures, and compliance policies.  b) Ensure all project solutions are in accordance with Barclays & local government laws  Technical Skills | Competencies :  - Advanced Lean knowledge and working experience  - Scoping processes from a robotics process automation perspective. Candidate should have an understanding of automation concepts and tools like Blue prism & Open Span.  - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving approach  - Ability to identify and deliver new ideas to address key business issues.
