A brief about the role: - Manage contracts drafting and negotiations till final sign off of the contracts - Support team in contract negotiations and non-compliances remediation as first level of escalation - Manage a team while contributing individually on regulatory contract remediation projects or 3rd party Supplier Control Obligations projects - Manage a team executing contracts pertaining to various regulatory requirements and contract compliance to various projects like outsourcing, non-core divestments - Ensure the priority list of suppliers to be remediated is worked upon with top urgency and diligence, and that the management team is kept updated on a regular basis with progress, issues /concerns and findings - Provide assistance to the other contract remediation / reviews and ad-hoc projects as appropriate Role :&nbsp; Manage a team of paralegals managing following projects: SCO Remediation: - The team negotiates the contract schedules pertaining to 3rd party vendor engagement risks. Support is provided to stakeholders across the category sourcing teams, Supplier Relationship managers and Business in doing contract SCO schedule related work and thereby help increase the bandwidth of stakeholders. Negotiate identified 3rd party risks on 3rd party engagement, discuss with SMEs in Barclays and escalate risks to Accountable Executives, if any and get the contract executed. Pre SAA Non Compliance Remediation:&nbsp; - Manage the team that supports remediation of non-compliances highlighted during Pre Contract supplier assurance attestation. Coordinate with the respective Subject Matter Experts and create repository of all relevant issue closure evidences. Cyber Remediation:&nbsp; - Support team to negotiate Cyber General terms and cyber security supplier control obligations for the third part supplier partners in scope of the project. This is a group wide time bound project with extremely visibility that requires to be completed by end of March 2019. Adhoc Projects: - Support additional Organisational or Regulatory remediation activities applicable for Barclays third party supplier partners. Candidate will act as first level of escalation for the contract support team. Reporting, feedbacks and audits: - Prepare and present weekly / monthly status dashboards to senior stakeholders. Conduct all reporting activities for the team and support VP - Contract Support for organisation wide reporting w.r.t. contract remediation. Work on feedback from all Stakeholders including Sourcing Category Leads. Ensure that all sourcing/supplier facing activity meets Barclays policy, compliance and audit requirements Essential Skills: - Masters or Graduate from a reputable Institute or University in legal or Science/Commerce - Reasonable years of commercial / procurement / legal experience primarily handling contract reviews and experience in drafting letters and amendments - Reasonable years of experience preferably in risk management, supplier assurance or supplier management - Proficient with Windows Operating Systems and excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Should be experienced and an expert in being able to produce top quality dashboards for top management covering progress updates, including findings and issues or concerns as may be evident from time to time in PowerPoint and Excel - Hands-on experience in contract management, risk management and legal - Knowledge and understanding of sourcing/ procurement standard concepts and practices appropriate to the level of the role Desirable Skills: - CA/MBA/Legal qualification (good to have) or equivalent with 7 -10 years of experience in contract negotiation, supplier assurance and management and Risk Management - The ideal candidate will also have appropriate knowledge and skills of contract, commercial and risk management - A relationship builder with a reputation for integrity, evoking rapid trust and confidence in clients, colleagues and team - Ability to work with diversified and multiple layers of management - Team handling experience will be an added advantage
