Job Title: Frontline Monitoring Analyst - AML

Job Grade : ( Manager-5-10 yrs), ( Analyst-3-5 yrs)

Reports to : AVP, Team Leader

Overall Job Purpose :

- A member of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Team and will be responsible for investigating, obtaining and completing all Regulatory documentations for all clients in accordance with the Bank's regulatory guidelines within the UK and global Financial Regulations.

- All investigations are completed with detailed oversight of the UK Financial Crime landscape reporting where appropriate to the UK National Crime Agency.

- To provide high value, thorough investigations that are business critical.

- To work in partnership with other Fin crime and other wider Operation teams.

Key Accountabilities :

- Provide a dedicated and AML robust investigation.

- Have a detailed and thorough understanding of the Corporate Banks Policy and requirements.

- Take responsibility for maintaining the high standards of accuracy, up to date client information during all stages of the client relationship in order to protect the Bank and our clients from Financial Crime.

- Use strong problem solving and team working skills to resolve complex, high priority cases whilst ensuring the Banks regulatory requirements are always met.

- Use strong communication skills to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

- Use a high level of attention to detail to complete tasks - right first time- every time.

- Take ownership of all Financial Operations Risk and Controls and ensure they are all adhered to at all times.

- Implementing Operations process improvements, support colleagues to accept and adapt to the resulting changes, to deliver a better service for our customers and / or improve efficiencies.

- Addressing and where appropriate escalating complaints, issues and problems to the Operation.

Team Work :

- Working closely with other AML Managers and Specialist to support the Operations Leadership team in delivering an outstanding performance across the team.

- Proactively working with Colleagues in other Operational areas of the Bank.

Technical Skills :

- Ensure AML investigation take into account detailed typologies in the UK and have the ability to translate these into meaningful AML investigation reports whether to close or report the suspicion to the UK National Crime Agency

- Communication skills must interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

- Time management skills :- must manage workloads effectively top complete complex and high priority tasks with target timescales

- Have a strong understanding of investigations and decision making skills.

Knowledge and Expertise Essential :

- Experience within the Financial Crime and the Banking Sector required.

- Experience within Operations essential.

- Good Knowledge and understanding of the legislation that affects Barclays and our clients including Data protection Act, Financial Services Act, Money Laundering and confidentiality regulators.

Preferred :

- Knowledge of UK Retail Bank AML financial crime management.

- Knowledge of UK Financial Crime legislation and policies.

- Prior experience with using Fortent or other specialist AML Case Management systems
