Banjara's - AVP/AGM - Supply Chain Head (10-15 yrs)
Title : Head of Supply Chain, AVP or AGM (based on experience and profile)
Reporting to : Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Team size : 3 direct reporting
Location : Hyderabad (Company Head Quarters) (not factory)
Industry : Branded Personal Care (FMCG) with own factory
Company : Majority owned by Private equity fund, professionally run, board managed, NOT family run. Profit making company with up-to-date payment terms to vendors and suppliers
Compensation : Comparable to best in the industry (based on experience and profile)
Experience : 10 to 15 years (prior experience in FMCG industry will be useful)
Education : Bachelors degree, MBA or Supply Chain certification (preferred / if any)
Vendor Management
- Manage Vendor relationships
- Manage purchase order / schedule / supply / payment process end to end.
- Establish/maintain processes for smooth execution of the above.
- Identify and on-board new vendors - as required
- Annual Appraisal and review of vendors through on-site visits and measurements.
Internal Processes
- Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
- Lead, co-ordinate and execute to sales forecast to production planning to purchase order process completely and seamlessly.
- Work closely with CEO to manage the KPIs on inventory management and service levels.
- Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows
- Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws
- Develop material costs forecasts and standard cost lists.
- Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
Distribution Management
- Manage transportation and CFA relationships
- Plan and execute primary transportation
- Plan and execute secondary transportation along with CFA
- Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move or store materials.
Soft skills
- Good communication skills (written and spoken)
- Good knowledge of MS office
- Good interpersonal relationships (team player)
- Ability to multi- task
