Job purpose & Scope :
- Responsible for the effective creation and communication of a clear strategic vision for the business in consultation with the Top Management .
- Defines focused tactical and strategic agendas that enhance the business and works closely with the business's leadership team with a clear emphasis on key strategic initiatives for the business.
- Formulates the business's long-term strategic plans, analyses, and recommendations in relation to matters such as emerging industry trends, competitive dynamics, expansion opportunities, and business performance enhancement.
Responsibilities :
- Leading key strategic initiatives to give shape to new opportunities by applying fact-based logic, analytics and business framework to identify key value drivers .
- Offering strategic brand initiatives, including brand positioning, brand analytics, internal brand engagement and digital brand strategy
- Monitoring industry trends and analyzing data to forecast future business opportunities or risks & turn strategic opportunities into a prioritized plan linked to the financial plan.
- Championing new opportunities across the organization& Identifying new markets for product offerings where there is potential for growth
- Developing and applying strategic and business analysis to unclear strategic issues related to market, channel, competition , brand etc
- Conducting analysis on topics such as new market opportunities, strategic initiatives, business development, competitive landscape, and cross-business segment opportunities.
- Coordinating with the relevant stakeholders in order to ensure the timely implementation of suitable sourcing strategies
- Benchmarking industry best practices and promoting their adoption within the business as applicable.
- Evaluates and monitors market conditions on a regular basis and adjusts business strategies to suit the shifting conditions.
- Leading the creation of frameworks and analysis to support strategic decisions of the management
- Developing strategic presentations for use both internally and externally, including Investor Day and other conferences and forums
- Providing strategic inputs during due diligence projects of target organization for M& A identified by the Management
- Partnering with business Heads to drive innovation and diversification agendas of BEL, Continuously monitoring and evaluate goals and identify opportunities for improvement
Technical Competencies :
- Business Analytics, Strategic Planning, Statistical Knowledge, Forecasting, Business Modelling, Market Intelligence, Environment Scanning
- Qualifications: MBA in Marketing and Finance (Dual Specialization) ;preferably from Top tier management institutes
- Reporting to: CFO
