Bajaj Electricals - GIC/Warehouse Manager (10-16 yrs)

No We have this opening for a GIC(Godown/Warehouse Incharge) in Bangalore and Cochin.
Job purpose & Scope :
Coordinate the day-to-day activities pertaining to receipt, handling, storage, recording and dispatch of goods in a store or warehouse.
Key Result Area :
Outbond Vehicle Planning
Incoming vehicle supervision/tracking
Monitoring CCTV footage with CFA WH manager
WH space utilisation, upkeep and maintenance
Liasion with local authorities for legal compliances
Documentation monitoring and ensuring implementation of SOPs
Monitoring of Physical stock count/perpetual count
MIT follow-up/Claim on tpt for shortage
Training / mock drill on periodic basis
Analysis of labour productivity on periodic basis
Review / monitoring of QR code scanning
Communication with internal / external customers
Coordination with CC team for BAD stock review and minimising the same
Administration - review of security/courier services
Review/monitoring of POD and scanning of all documents
Review of Publicity material
Coordination with seconds sales/scrap vendor, getting their quotes, scouting new vendors
Review and analysis of secondary freight / local freight and comparison on periodic basis
Coordination with Secondary transporters and arrangement of vehicles in time
Review of RTW, unaccounted material, third party material
Transport bill booking
Major Areas of Responsibilities :
Defective Inventory Management :
Ensure Customer Care hands over inspected material within 5 days.
Issuance of credit note for defectives within 10 days after receipt of material.
Ensure Scrap Proposal is raised every month & negotiate rates with Scrap Vendor.
Claim on Transporter: Ensure shortages and damages above 30 days to be nil.
Inventory Management :
Conduct monthly Perpetual Inventory and pass rectification after BSSM & RSSM approval for correction of stocks.
Provide monthly stock statement of Seconds Sale with condition of Goods & aging to Area Manager, Sales Coordinator & BSSM for action.
Ensure CFA arranges stocks BU wise, product wise in their allocated area.
Ensure cleanliness of products and warehouse-office areas.
Transport Management :
Negotiate rates with present & new transporters and control the cost by 10% of current incidence. Ensure FOC is below 1% of Sales.
Ensure 100% collection & updating of POD as per FMS within 30 days after close of the month.
Collection of Balance Confirmation from all Transporters & CFA on monthly basis.
Providing exception list of transporters to BSSM with reasons and keep records of approval.
POD Management :
Ensure that all PODs are received by 10 days maximum from date of dispatch. Where transporter could not get POD for some reason, GIC to arrange written confirmation of material receipt from related party. However all PODs are to be received maximum within 30 days.
Ensure entry of dispatch details (LR no transport name & vehicle no in case of local).
Legal Matters :
Provide timely input to BSSM in case of any deviation in the packaging in related to the Legal & Metrology Act.
Ensure no deviation in calculation & payment of local taxes like Octroi etc.
Ensure stock is accompanied with road permits where ever required.
SOPs / Miscellaneous :
Verifying on daily basis all activities given to CFA & keep BSSM posted on the exceptions on weekly basis.
Essential Qualification: B.Com/M.Com
Desired Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Operation preferred.
Experience: 9- 16 years of Experience
Industry Preference: Consumer Durables
Internal/External Contacts: Shall regularly deal with all sales employees of the branch internally; various dealers and distributors externally.
Language: English and local language is a must.
Gender Preference: Male
Age Preference: 28 to 35 years of age.
