Credit / Underwriting Analyst JOB PURPOSE : Analyze Infrastructure / Construction (Listed / Unlisted ) companies to recommend Underwriting Surety Bonds in conformance with Surety underwriting guidelines to determine if they meet risk acceptability standards and the strategy of the company. Investable ideas for Financial Investment PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES : - Helping team in underwriting projects for Surety Bonds - Tracking Infra / Construction Sector ( Listed / Unlisted ) to find out Investible options - Quarterly updates on Companies / Sectors and invested companies - Responsible for the review of new contract bonds for completion in accordance with Surety policies. - Provide quarterly marketing updates and other reports as requested by various stakeholders - Maintain strong knowledge of construction industry trends, market conditions, and current challenges and opportunities - Actively participate in construction and surety industry functions, forums, and events. - Assures development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards to produce profitable underwriting results significantly contributing to process improvement and technology innovation - Manage a diverse portfolio of existing contract surety accounts - Actively participate in underwriting and sales meetings and support management in the identification and launch of new programs and initiatives - Analyze financial statements and secure appropriate underwriting information to evaluate credit risk and determine risk acceptability. Negotiate terms and conditions on complex bonds and accounts. Lead/participate in virtual and/or in-person meetings to facilitate the exchange of underwriting and project information. - Addressing governance and regulatory compliance issues. - Developing, administering, and monitoring complex underwriting rules and guidelines - Developing, underwriting, and managing a portfolio of Surety business by managing the selection/denial of new and/or renewal business. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE : - CA / MBA with 7-8 years of Experience - Essential experience in tracking the Infrastructure Sector as an Associate / Research Analyst ( Buy side/ Sell Side / Credit Research Houses / other Financial Institutions )
