About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned, diligent and professional Senior Finance Manager to join our dynamic and rapidly growing start-up. You will focus on 3 key business areas:

1. Statutory Compliance: Review and ensure that the Company is in compliance with all its statutory filings for both legal (ROC, RBI, etc) and financial (GST, TDS, Tax, Audit) responsibilities.

2. Financial & Management Reporting: Review of company financial reporting across all time periods monthly, quarterly, and annual and timely submission of reports to the Board of Director, post-management review. Creation and review of Mgmt and Investor MIS report and timely delivery of these to the Board of Directors and Investors.

3. Operational Excellence: Review of company's operational policies, business processes etc to ensure compliance with relevant legal statutes such as data privacy laws, information security compliances and reporting compliance as per agreed timelines with Board of Directors and Investors.

Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting: Review of all financial reports on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis

- Ensure adherence to all financial and statutory compliances such as filings of GST, TDS, ROC, RBI, etc

- Coordinating with our company secretary to ensure that all legal requirements are duly followed on timely-manner

- Prepare MIS Reporting for Management and Board of Directors Meetings, including ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery of reports.

- Bi-Monthly review of compliance report with senior management and along with identification of key risk areas and action plans for risk remediation.

- Accountability around each action point and timely completion of remediation tasks.

- Proactive identification of both business and legal risks through keeping abreast of changes to policies and practices.

Must have:

- Proven experience of 5-8 years in positions of Financial Reporting & Compliance Management

- Bachelor's/Master's in law, finance, business administration or related field

- Excellent MS Office skills (Excel/Powerpoint/Word or similar google Office tools)

- Excellent written and verbal skills

- Familiarity with communication tools such as Slack, Asana, etc.

- Attention to details; Highly Organized

- In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations

- A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality

- Methodical and diligent

- An analytical mind able to - see- the complexities of procedures and regulations

- Ability to write documentation and create a business process flow chart.

Good to have:

- Prior experience with a start-up

- Certified compliance/six sigma professional gets a bonus point
