Position: Senior Procurement Specialist

Type: Full-time

Reports to: Director: Procurement

Work location: Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, India

Responsibilities:

Procurement

- Supply base market study

- Category/Product research

- Suppliers identification, evaluation (including RFx) and selection (from both commercial and technical points of view)

- Quotation collection and summary

- Contract negotiation and contracting

- Plant visits and audits

- Expediting and on-going transaction support (including QA/QC)

- Supplier relationship management

- Internal and external project updates (when required) and ensure relevant parties are informed of status

- Documentation support

Analysis

- Exports/Imports data collection and analysis

- Country research and analysis

- Industry insight research and analysis

- Supply base analysis

- Supplier due diligence

Other relevant elements:

Project admin

- Documentation management

- Information/data management

- Travel management

- System update/documentation

Other ad hoc tasks

Requirements:

- Professionalism, good ethics, honesty and integrity

- A bachelor degree or above. Procurement, supply chain, business or related major with a minimum of 5-years work experience in fields of procurement or purchasing

- Exposure to mining, heavy industry manufacturing, metallurgical, or chemical industries is preferred

- Procurement (or manufacturing) project management knowledge and skills are essential

- Plant audit/product inspection experience is essential

- Ability to organize and present facts and arguments in a persuasive and convincing manner

- Good research and analytical capability

- Good communication skills with multi-culture offices and team work ethic

- Strong teamwork spirit

- Professional and pleasant manner

- Fast-learner, energetic, proactive, highly motivated

- Ability to handle pressure and work with tight deadlines

- Proficient in the use of computers and commonly-used business software

- Excellent English, both written and spoken

- Ability and willingness to travel
