Branch Network Expansion
Role :
- Provide analytical insight on key network issues.
- The successful candidate will undertake reviews of branch network and provide broader analytical expertise to support key strategic initiatives such as Retail distribution strategy and locations decisions strategy.
- Keep abreast of competitor activity/developments in the wider banking / property industry. Analyse and track key trends and consumer changes, impacting the role of the branch today and in the future.
- Build and maintain data models to support footprint decisions, respond to wide range of complex queries.
- Proven superior analytical insight to drive business benefits and resourceful in data gathering.
- Identify factors impacting branch performance and create a model which can predict a Branch's performance based on a number of factors.
- Identify factors that drive the profitability of newly setup branches
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to identify issues and trends to provide recommendations and solutions.
- Good relationship skills and be able to build a network of contact, coupled with high quality written communications and the ability to talk clearly through analysis and findings.
- Excel, SQL, SAS
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of experience in financial services industry developing data driven strategies
- Bachelors/Master's degree in quantitative areas like Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and experience in working with large data sets
- Experience with one or more modelling tools (R, Matlab, Octave, SPSS, SAS) is preferred
- Strong project management skills; self-driven; ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results highlighting strategic impact
