Role

- Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Axis Bank Credit Cards portfolio in the face of shifting consumer demands, macro-economic & competitive environment

- Leadership: Manage and develop a team of analysts as direct reports, as well as supporting functions such as data analysts and engineers. Coach and mentor associates with the goal of developing and retaining top talent.

- Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Business, Data Science, Technology, Operations, Finance and other functions to define and drive the business strategy, improve customer experience and profitability

- Product Strategy & Credit Risk Management: Develop and implement credit policy and pricing strategies to drive improvements in profitability, credit risk, customer experience.

- Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and customize channels and products offered through various inbound and outbound channels. Build insights on customer experience and retention and drive efficiency in marketing

- Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently

- Strategic & Analytic Orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem-solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous data analytics, advanced statistical modeling, and valuations.

Qualifications:

- 5-7+ years of experience in financial services industry developing data driven strategies

- Bachelors/Masters degree in quantitative areas like Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines

- Experience in credit card analytics a plus

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and experience in working with large data sets

- Experience with one or more modeling tools (R, SPSS, SAS) is preferred

- Strong project management skills; self-driven; ability to work independently and cross-functionally

- Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results highlighting the strategic impact
