BIU @Axis Bank: The Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) caters to the analytics requirements of the bank, across various businesses and functions. BIU broadly comprises Business Analytics, Advanced analytics and data sciences, Risk analytics, Data engineering and reporting verticals. Business analytics is further comprised of Cards, Loans, Payments, Liabilities, Transaction banking and corporate banking businesses. This position is within the Retail Loan analytics team.

Job description :

1. Manage specific product unit within retail loans focussing on various acquisition and portfolio strategies

2. Provide strong analytics thought leadership to solve various problems across customer life-cycle - acquisition/targeting programs, risk / pricing strategies, segmentation, cross-sell programs, etc.

3. Mentor and lead team members to build various sourcing strategies and contribute effectively to maintain an aggressive but responsible book

4. Lead business and BIU driven initiatives for effective book building and retention strategies

5. Partner with risk/ policy / business team to drive data-driven decision making for various sourcing strategies or focused campaigns

6. Provide regular business performance monitoring and data-driven insights to senior management and product teams for future strategies

7. Manage ad-hoc requests from business / seniors and drive automation of reports / processes as required

What we are looking for in a candidate :

1. Bachelor's degree in Business/Economics/Finance/Engineering or other quantitative disciplines. Master's degree preferred.

2. 7+ years of analytics experience preferably from Consumer Banking, Financial services, Payments industries

3. Knowledge of banking / payments and knowledge of programming languages will be an added advantage

4. Sharp analytical thinker and proven thought leader

5. Strong communication skills - ability to work with multiple product teams/stakeholders, understand key business objectives, and communicate complex concepts effectively to different audiences

6. Tremendous drive towards results and lead the team towards it. Ability to persist against obstacles and get things done.
