Operational Responsibilities :

- Leading and influencing teams to deliver and exceed KPI's and business objectives. Manage and mentor a team of Assistant Managers (people issues, hiring, retention, performance management etc.), Lead efficiency and Productivity measures within the team. Enhance resilience in the process through qualitative measures. Build strong relations with offshore stakeholders

- Ensure smooth operation and meeting all delivery parameters; building strong relations with partners.

- Ensure robust governance mechanism within the process

- Ensure timely and equable work allocation.

- Provide closing sign offs on monthly basis.

- Ensure Expertise and Autonomy on own areas.

- Ownership of all IFC & control / audit framework.

- Ensure Training & Accreditation and knowledge maintenance of the team.

- Ensure all archiving and maintenance documents as per IFC / Audit requirements, maintaining all process MI as per requirements - providing data whenever required

- Timely escalation of issues and follow-up on open issues ensuring closures.

- Creation and maintenance of SOP and ensuring the process is followed on consistently and maintenance of cross training and creation of backs.

- Ensure overall efficiency of the processes and Lead and implement required changes in the processes.

- Should be an Expert in the processes and have ability to provide resolutions and guidance to the teams for queries, act as the second level of approval authority and review the tasks as per process guidelines.

- Produce accurate reports with required analysis.

- People and performance management.

Transitions :

- Be responsible to participate in the transition of the process and will be involved in making the training plans, learning the process, documenting, creating the SOPs, participating in designing the to be communication matrix, learning the process and then training the juniors, create a training and accreditation plan for the junior trainees and leading the trade recovery process.

- Will be responsible to transition a sub process on his own.

Domain Expertise :

- Asset servicing and Trade entry: Knowledge of trades (Listed Securities: Equity, Fixed Income, OTCs, Listed Derivatives, Loans, Private Equities, Participation, Real Estate, Hedge Funds etc.), Corporate actions

- Trade entries on SAP .

- Cash and Position reconciliations of the financial products and research & resolution of discrepancies.

- Interaction with Banks, Custodians, Treasury departments for resolution of reconciliation items.

Managerial Responsibilities :

- Manage a team of Assistant Managers/Process Leads (people issues, hiring, retention, performance management etc.)

- Lead and motivate Span of 80+ staff to facilitate achievement of key performance indicators.

Service Level Management :

- Responsible for service delivery for his/her own work and by team on agreed key performance metrics of turnaround time, quality, etc

Education and Experience :

- Post-graduate degree and experience and very good knowledge of one or more relevant asset management processes described above.

- In depth knowledge of the domain (trade entry or Asset servicing or corporate actions or OTC transactions or cash and custody position reconciliation) obtained through 8-10+ years practical experience

- In-depth process knowledge of various asset classes, including securities, loans, private equity, derivatives, real estate assets, obtained through experience

- Experience in describing business requirements, processes and controls

- Ability to challenge both business requirements and current situation regarding processes, with good communication/conviction skills.

- Experience managing a diverse team of 40+

- General understanding of the Asset Management process domain with ability to articulate the different dimensions and indicators.

- Previous experience in an Insurance / Asset Management Shared Service environment or an Asset management company

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

- Ability to work harmoniously as part of a team

- Ability to interact with internal(AXA) and external(custodians/bankers etc.) entities

- Work independently and achieve autonomy within short time.

Technical Competencies :

- Knowledge of functionalities in SAP or prior working experience on SAP

- Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel required

- Ability to perform tasks on multiple computer applications

Language Skills :

- English - Speaking, reading and writing

- Open to working in European shifts

- Should possess valid passport

- Open to working in all shifts including European/UK

The role reports to Sr. Manager - Finance Operations

- Span of Control- 50 + dynamic staff consisting of 7+ Assistant Managers+ 20+ process leads and dotted reporting staff of Associates/Sr. Associates

- Handling operations of entire European region

- The process is end to end trade support and end to end asset servicing activities

- More into strategy, Decision making, Client Management, Very Strong Client Facing role.

- 80% people management, 20% technical aspects
