AWS Cloud Architect - Design robust and maintainable solutions consistent with and industry practices; communicate software and infrastructure architecture clearly with business and technical stakeholders - Partner closely with cross-functional leaders (development/product management/stakeholders/ etc.) to ensure a clear understanding of business and technical needs; jointly select the best strategy after evaluating the benefits and costs associated with different approaches - Identify, propose, and prototype solution proof of concepts - Closely collaborate with implementation teams to ensure understanding and utilization of the most optimal approach - Review product designs to ensure consistency with architectural best practices; participate in regular implementation reviews to ensure consistent quality and adherence with internal standards - Create and review technical design documentation, including architectural, data-model, and integration designs - Proactively research and introduce industry best practices and techniques - Help develop architectural standards and guidelines for scalability, performance, resilience, and efficient operations while adhering to necessary security and compliance standards - Effectively utilize architectural design patterns and cloud implementation standards to continuously improve solutions - Educate and share expertise; present ideas and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences - Know and care about what the customer wants from our service and be willing to stand up for it! In addition, this person will help lead a firm-wide initiative in improving IT capability for clients : - Contribute to IT capability building knowledge creation. - Coach, mentor, and conduct training programs in AWS Best practices and other IT topics. - Play active role in developing and growing the practice. Qualifications : - 10-13 years hands on IT consulting and solution deployment work experience - A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field from a top university is required. Required Skills : - Hands-on experience designing architecture for enterprise solutions - 10+ years hands-on experience of being affiliated with enterprise solution development and deployments - 4+ years experience functioning in a lead technical role on large web projects - 3+ years of AWS architecture experience with at least AWS Solution Architect - Associate certification - 2+ years of exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Scala, etc.) stack is preferred - Solid knowledge of infrastructure technologies and cloud native services - Experience working in agile teams with short release cycles - Possess strong verbal, written and team presentation communication skills - This role requires healthy doses of initiative and the ability to remain flexible and responsive in a very dynamic environment - Ability to work in global cross-office teams, including travelling to remote offices as required - Fluency in English is required
