AWS Architect - Data Center

AWS Architect

Core Responsibility:

- Design of technology infrastructure like network, compute, storage, deployment and virtualization

- Integration of cloud services with on premise technologies and applications

- Provide oversight for IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)

- Plan automation through scripting and/or coding

- Participate and drive discussions with senior technical personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation

- Point of contact for all AWS infrastructure related product and services for development and business teams

Minimum Qualification:

- Engineering or equivalent degree

- 11+ or more years of IT implementation experience with 2-3 years as AWS architects

- Certified in industry recognized certifications such as AWS Cloud Architect

Mandate Skills:

- Deep understanding of AWS Core services (VPC, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RDS, CloudFront, Load balancer, CloudFormation etc.)

- Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments

- Leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments

- Large scale migration experience Data Center to Data Center and/or Data Center to Cloud

- Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)

- Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef & Puppet

- Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment

- Experience managing data center operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
