AWS Application Architect - IT

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and build application reference architectures for public cloud-based systems within Amazon Web Services (AWS)

- Design and cloud-native application architecture and designs

- Perform application architecture reviews of cloud migration/adoption initiatives, including SaaS and cloud-native architectures.

- Migrate SOA, Monolithic applications to Microservices

Experience:

- Cloud architecture control implementation for enterprise-scale projects

- Practical knowledge and experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Software Development experience using Java, .Net, PHP and databases (Mysql or Oracle)

- Scripting experience and knowledge in Python and or Bash

- Responsible for the definition and communication of the application architecture (current, resultant and target states) for their assigned scope, ensuring application architecture links to the overall company strategy

- Manages the repository of application architecture models, roadmaps, standards and outcomes

- Experience working with senior business stakeholders to ensure application architecture outcomes are Embedded within programs of change

- Telecom provider experience is beneficial

- Be able to work at a fast pace and deliver to budget and requirements.

- Client facing skills - Previous work within a consultancy.

- Service-oriented architecture (SOA), Monolithic and microservices.
