AVP/VP - Program Director - Learning - BFSI (10-15 yrs)

We have been retained by one of the Premier Banking Global In-House Captive to identify a Program Lead for the Learning Organization within its Technology & Operations Business. Location is Chennai with a fair amount of travel.

Looking for candidates with RELEVANT EXPERIENCE in a SIMILAR SECTOR/ORGANIZATION. Please read through & familiarize with the outlined Role Specification and apply if you meet the criteria.
Role Purpose:

Ensures that the bank develops it's professionals within the businesses, segments or functions through technical and professional training. This is achieved through:

- Effective learning needs identification through stakeholder engagement

- Identification of learning strategy

- Development of appropriate learning solutions

- Responsible for the execution of all agreed Learning plans and initiatives within the business or function

- Accountable for learning impact on performance

Key Outcomes

Strategic People Agenda

- Responsible for consulting with global and regional stakeholders to translate business objectives into a Learning Development strategic agenda, including entire capability requirements (technical learning, leadership & professional development)

- Responsible for conducting needs analysis and creating a learning & development execution plan for the business or function and the teams within

- Responsible for defining measures of success of capability development investment and ensuring reporting is set up to track these

- Partners with the business and HRBP to shape the Strategic People Agenda and its learning-specific requirements

Learning Solutions

- Accountable for managing the end to end delivery of business learning solutions within the business Learning Development agenda, ensuring that standards and governance are met. (Includes managing the definition of certification paths, regulatory requirements, instructional design, communications materials, train-the-trainers and reporting.)

- Engage with internal business or HR delivery partners or external vendors to identify suitable solutions for all learning solution types.

- Project manages internal and external resources to ensure solutions are delivered within the planned timeframe and budget, and in accordance with the learning objectives.

- Manage the operational risks of the execution plans and mitigate impact on timelines where possible.

- Update business learning products with the latest innovations, thinking, regulatory requirements and technical updates.

- Work closely with Compliance and the Business / Function personnel to ensure that training is delivered and reported in accordance with regulatory requirements

Holistic Development

- Partners with various Learning Solutions owners (i.e. Leadership and Management Development, Risk, Legal and Compliance, etc) to source relevant learning solutions for their target audiences

- Responsible for coordinating nominations for Leadership Development programmes (LFP, RTL etc)

Specialised Areas/Responsibilities

- Ensure operational excellence across the GTO learning operating model by working with the Business and HR to map and define an integrated Learning process with a focus on role profiles, development solutions, learning roadmaps and certification

- Ensure that all curricula design, development and implementation across the business segment is aligned with Standards and Governance requirements

- Identify, design and deliver solutions to meet strategic GTO-wide learning needs

- Demonstrate that program design and delivery achieves agreed performance impact measures

- Establish collaborative relationships with Business sponsors, SMEs, and HR partners to ensure support for and ownership of the Learning Agenda, including the ability to work with challenging stakeholders and demonstrate the courage to challenge assumptions and drive a strategic focus while maintaining positive long term working relationships

- Demonstrate experience working across multiple cultures and locations as well as manage virtual teams to successful outcomes

- Understand the change process and demonstrate experience in managing large scale behavioural change or capability build initiatives

Skills & Knowledge

Essential

- Learning & Development (including adult learning concepts and ADDIE process) knowledge and experience

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experience of key Relationship Management

- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, projects and stakeholder groups; project management, strong consulting and negotiation skills

Desirable

- Banking experience

- Consulting skills

- Facilitation skills

- Relevant business or functional experience

- Strong industry network
