AVP/VP - IRRBB - BFS

This is a new BAU role. The role will be based within FinOps but will be a specific ALCM SME India function dedicated to supporting the ALCM teams. The responsibilities will include:

- Production of relevant Group MI and additional commentary on EVE and NII sensitivities, basis risk, FSA017 and ICAAP

- Prepare year-end and interim disclosure packs (both internal and external)

- Prepare the year-end ICAAP document and MI, as well as the interim refresh; provide support to senior management in understanding the methodology used and the corresponding results

- Provide support in the ongoing discussions on revamping the IRRBB ICAAP methodology with 2LoD and GRA

- Act as Group Treasury SME in the IR Risk buy-in project, working closely together with site and regional ALCM teams, GMMO, PC and Markets Treasury; focus on agreeing a new RACI, TOM and minimum controls standards

- Deliver FSA017 Group reporting

- Write and maintain IRRBB end to end procedures supporting delivery of the basis of preparation for the IRRBB Fin Ops teams

- Lead the analysis on Group NTMR quarter on quarter variance and the production of MI required for senior management review and signoff; calculate and explain the corresponding Pillar 2a impact of every quarterly submission

- Act as Group Treasury IRRBB SME in working together with FinOps and site ALCM

- Prepare the IRRBB Pillar 2a estimate for the European Resolution Group

- Support the IRRBB Communication Forum, as a means of updating site and regional ALCM team with the latest developments happening in Group Treasury

- Lead interactions to consider implications Group and local requirements and coordinate with peers on delivery of key reports/disclosures and MI

- Serve as a central group/regional/entity oversight of significant IRRBB reporting issues and related policy decisions with respect to in-scope entities

- ICAAP production in partnership with the sites

- Act as Group Treasury SME for relevant IRRBB topics and provide advice and guidance

Leadership & Teamwork :

- Leadership of IRRBB Stress Testing and production of instructions

- Working as IRRBB SME driving procedures and MI delivery/explain

- Working in close partnership with FinOps team

- Supporting key project delivery relating to MI Pack and commentary production

- Working with sites in a team orientated approach driving strong customer service

- Leading as a key IRRBB SME expert

The Opportunity: (Brief Overview of the Role)

- This is a new BAU role based within FinOps but will be a specific ALCM SME India function dedicated to supporting the ALCM teams in UK . The responsibilities will include:

- Take ownership of interest rate risk buy-in for UK entities

- Monitor performance of behaviouralisation assumptions going into the buy-in model

- Ensure controls around data are robust and evolve over time

- Engage with entity ALCM to review buy-in summaries as per agreed timelines

- Proactively identify issues and wherever possible propose remediation plan

- Perform ad hoc analysis to support ALCM in effectively managing interest rate risk

- Work closely with Market Treasury and Product Control to ensure effective risk buy-in

- Provide SME input, when required, into QRM modeling of internal trades for IRRBB reporting

- Defining procedures and guidance for risk buy-in processes

- Working with sites to help improve the understanding and management of Treasury exposures

- Ability to develop and run robust and well controlled processes

- Strong technical SME knowledge
