AVP/VP - Fixed Income Research - BFS

We are hiring for AVP/ VP- Fixed Income Research for our client in Bangalore.

What we Offer:

The successful incumbent Gathers, organizes, analyzes, and presents financial data and rating agency information in order to evaluate credit risk associated with fixed income investments held in the organisation securities portfolio. Consults with portfolio managers regarding credit risk implicit in notes and bonds held. Maintains updated information systems that provide portfolio managers timely information regarding debt issuers approved for investment purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Performs fundamental financial and credit analysis using publicly available information, integrating conclusions with outside opinions and rating agency data. Recommends suitability of securities. Recommends investment limits for formal credit committee approval.

2. Ensures that assigned issuers and industry sectors are reviewed, analyzed, and documented on a timely basis, so that all internal and external regulatory requirements are fulfilled.

3. Performs special analysis such as industry reviews, review of buy vs hold discussions on distressed securities, and downgraded securities. Research analysis will cover multiple fixed income asset classes such as corporate debt, municipals, ABS/CMBS/RMBS.

4. Understands securitizations and Basel III requirements and actively follows the ABS/CMBS industry. Understands the credit risk of underlying receivables combined with structural features of each securitization. Reviews and recommends various Fixed Income/ABS asset categories. Works internally to implement recommendations and develop monitoring activities.

5. Builds communication links with outside rating agencies and other fixed income analysts.

6. Participates with Treasury portfolio managers and Credit Risk Managers to develop investment strategy relating to cash and fixed income securities.

Knowledge/Skills

- Knowledge of business and financial markets, financial and credit analysis, and accounting principles and techniques, usually acquired through training or experience, are required to evaluate credit risk in individual issuers and industry sectors.

- Knowledge of economic conditions and their impact on the capability of debt issuers to service debt obligations, and legal matters related to structuring debt instruments, usually acquired through formal education and work experience, are required to evaluate credit risk.

- Analytical and presentation skills are required to interpret offering statements and legal documents describing securities issues and to prepare and present analytical reports.

- Computer skills are required to gather and present information. Bloomberg skills required. Prior securitization experience including knowledge of trustee reports is a plus.

Experience Required : Four years fixed-income securities or credit related financial analysis experience.
