AVP/VP - Credit Risk Management

This opening is with leading bank in Noida & Kolkata location looking from Banking Domain only

To assist in credit decision making and help in new initiatives of the credit department

Responsibilities

- Assist in analysing the credit worthiness of the borrower

- Develop industry specific knowledge and develop/maintain database pertaining to same

- Support credit team in formulating credit policies

- Support credit team in new initiatives like credit derivative swaps, Basle II norms etc.

- Develop understanding of various pertinent regulations

- Evaluation and implementation of IT solutions, mainly from the credit data warehouse perspective

Essential competencies

- In depth knowledge of credit evaluation

- A very good eye for detail

- Proactive: Ability to understand impact of changing environment on various companies

Understanding of credit ratings

- Interpersonal skills. Should be able to maintain independence of views while maintaining relationships with business banking managers

Team player

- Knowledge of specific industry would be an added advantage

Qualifications and relevant experience

- A CA/MBA from a reputed institute

- 6-10 years post qualification experience in credit evaluation in FI
