Assistant Vice President (AVP) / Vice President (VP) for Business Valuation - Business Development (BD)
As an AVP or VP for Business Valuation - BD, you would hold a senior leadership position within a financial services or consulting firm, focusing on business valuation services and driving business growth through strategic development initiatives. Your role would encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from managing client relationships to guiding the business development team and ensuring the quality of valuation services.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand the firm's client base for business valuation services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their unique needs, challenges, and business goals.
- Work closely with the valuation team to ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of valuation reports, methodologies, and industry standards.
- Lead and mentor the business development team.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create impactful campaigns, thought leadership content, and presentations that highlight the firm's business valuation expertise and value proposition.
- Oversee the preparation of high-quality proposals and pitches for prospective clients.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and potential areas for differentiation within the business valuation services market.
- Lead negotiations and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring terms are favorable to both parties while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Chartered Accountant/ Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 5-8+ years) in business development, with a focus on financial services, valuation, or consulting.
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of business valuation methodologies and principles.
- Established network within the industry, including potential clients and partners.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, market research, and sales analytics.
- Adaptability to changing market dynamics and client preferences.
