- Develop a comprehensive Supply Chain strategy that involves Logistics and Planning etc.
- Develop Supply Chain budget and provide for necessary control and reporting of results, variances and recommendations in areas of SCM to management
- Lead meetings with cross functional challenges & timely decision making to minimize supply side disruptions & demand side inconsistency as much as possible
- Work closely with sales department to reduce loss of sales. Setting norms for safety stock and tracking mechanisms to measure lead time
- Identify opportunities for possible Supply Chain synergies in the area of Supply Planning, Vendor Support, Demand Planning, Logistic requirement etc.
- As part of company's expansion strategy, identify & finalize suitable locations (warehouses, distribution centers etc.) to enhance customer service in a cost optimal manner
- Monitor Supply Chain processes and ensure efficiency
- Develop and ensure adherence to supply chain plan by working closely with operations(manufacturing) and sales department
- Work towards reducing inventory carrying cost, warehousing and logistic cost by optimizing transportation, warehousing and inventory management processes
- Monitor the Inventory carrying costs across Units and give suggestions to reduce them
- Ensure Distribution Cost is optimized
- 12-15 years of experience operating in a fast-paced, intensely competitive atmosphere in supply chain of an FMCG/FMCD, or retail industry.
- The ideal candidate would also have shown active experience heading a cross-functional team to manage overall supply chain operations
