About Our Client

Our client is one of the leading Financial Institution globally. As a part of expansion in their global business, they are looking for a seasoned professional to join their team as an AVP to manage the internal controls & regulatory projects.

Job Description

Reporting into the Head of Internal Controls, you would be responsible for identifying & mitigating risks across diverse processes.

Your key responsibilities shall include:

- Identifying areas of risk and undertake risk assessments to suggest changes in the regulatory compliance framework and sanction processes of the bank

- Supporting the implementation of operational risk assessments (RCAs) across the diverse functions to identify the key process risks & determine the effectiveness of operational controls

- Evaluating current sanctions operating model with global payments to create efficiency and share best practices for sanctions screening

- Delivering sanctions projects within the allocated budget while ensuring that the bank meets the required Group Sanctions and Compliance policies

- Managing ongoing audits of and timely issuance of reports on all ongoing audits

The Successful Applicant

- You must be a CA/CPA/ICWA with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience in risk and control

- Prior sanctions experience is preferred

- You should have thorough understanding of RCA's and regulatory compliance.

- Prior experience of managing relationships with internal and external audit teams is essential.

- You must be open to 30-40% international travel.
