AVP - Research - Credit/Fixed Income/Equity - BFSI (5-8 yrs)

Role

- Develop a basic understanding of financial institutions and corporate entities and their hierarchy's and map the information

- Research and analyze derivatives information for corporate entities by using annual reports

- Assist senior members in the team in accumulating, analyzing and summarizing data & information from public sources

- Extracting data from Coalition Media Source list for input on DNA

- Communicate his/her ideas/thoughts through qualitative information

- Co-ordinate with clients and/or other research team members based out of different locations in refining research data/requests and providing qualitative/quantitative analysis in a structured format

- Manage/prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines while working on multiple projects

- Responsible for training new joiners in the team and developing them

- Co-ordinate with Internal analysts and confirm the client delivery metrics i.e. delivery plan, briefing notes for meetings etc.

- Identifying and highlighting the discrepancies in output to Senior Associates

- Conduct regular workflow meetings with the in - house and onsite Account managers in London, New York and Singapore

- Foster a cohesive, creative and comfortable working environment, mediating any personal issue within the team

- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of team members providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance

Candidate profile

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze data

- Ability to take decisions while working with unstructured and limited information

- Prior experience in financial research/analytics

- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential

- Excellent working skills with MS office tools, especially good at advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in writing macros will be an added advantage

- A strong degree of independence and self-motivation

- Planning & organizational skills

Essential Qualifications

- Professionally qualified i.e. MBA, CFA or CA
