AVP - Production Planning - Chemical/Fertilizers Manufacturing - IIM/NITIE/IIT/NIT/FMS/MDI (16-24 yrs)

Antal hiring for a leading Fertilizer manufacturing organisation.

The position will be based out of Corporate Office in Pune and will report to President - Manufacturing.

The following would be the key deliverables of the role:

- Setup production planning, scheduling and control across plants; processes, templates. This task involves the following:

a. Setup the production planning, scheduling and control team across plants

b. Setup process, templates for production planning, scheduling and control

c. Identify interfaces with central S&OP, establish timelines and working mechanisms

d. Design dashboards and reports for senior management

- Run the production planning and scheduling process: This includes the following aspects:

a. Run the production planning, scheduling and control process on an ongoing basis, ensure on time collation of data, analysis, key meetings, implement outcomes discussed in the meetings

b. Identify tradeoffs in production plan to meet the demand plan and support central S&OP, finance in calculation of impact from the tradeoffs

c. Guide teams in plants to convert the agreed production plan to granular production schedules

d. Approve production schedules along with the plant heads

e. Regularly track adherence to production schedules, plans and identify root cause for non-adherence

f. Collate and provide production forecasts and report deviations

g. Coordinate (through plant wise teams) with procurement and logistics to ensure smooth operations

- Identify root causes for non-achievement of plan; identify and drive initiatives to correct the same involving the following tasks:

a. Identify root causes for deviation from plans across plants

b. Design initiatives to address root causes along with plants and central S&OP team (for coordination with businesses)

c. Create business case for changes required at the plants implement the initiative

The candidate whom we are looking for should be an MBA from a premier Business School preferably with an Engineering Degree with a proven track record of 18+ years with a background of working in a similar role in a large manufacturing organization preferably in the chemicals and petrochemicals sector and with multi-product manufacturing set-up.

The prospective candidate should come with strong analytical and problem solving skills; advanced skills in Microsoft office tools and ccomfortable in both strategic thinking and being detail oriented and the ability to coordinate with multi-stake holders.

The candidate should be in the age group of 42 to 48 years.
