AVP - Procurement & Operations - Direct Material - BPO (10-14 yrs)

Domain Knowledge and Experience :

- Minimum of 12-16 years of leadership experience in procurement, setting procurement strategies, managing Global Categories of Direct materials with high complexity

- Proven experience in a procurement function involved in high risk, high value, complex works, services and supplies covering a range of commodities

Roles & Responsibilities :

For Procurement Practice :

- Understanding of end to end Outsourcing module

- Support Pre-Sales team in drafting RFx for new business development

- Develops, implements and maintains procurement best practices and review on a regular basis to ensure relevance and conformance and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley

- Setting and achieving budget and financial targets for assigned portfolios

- Need to play a consulting role for winning new projects or expand existing business

- Strategy creation and implementation for procurement domain and create COE team

- Able to manage a multitude of projects simultaneously

- Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure better alignment of procurement processes and policies with internal business requirements

- Promotes the use and sharing of best practices across business units

- Provides leadership and direction to the procurement organization. Manages and develops resources to deliver business partner satisfaction and achievement of overall business and financial objectives

As operational Lead:

- Developing effective cost reduction strategies and regional implementation plans

- Strategic stakeholder management with supplier organizations and in corporate functions

- Establishes and manages cross-functional teams (Procurement team, Accounts Payable team, Helpdesk and other functional stake holders) to support and develop value-enhancing projects in procurement process

- Knowledge of best practices to establish optimal short-term and long-term planning initiatives

- Contributes to identifying and implementing initiatives that reduce costs and improve individual & Team performance

- Takes accountability for evaluating reports related to process and individual transactions to identify potential opportunities and mitigate financial risks

- Promotes continuous review of current work flow and transfer of information to achieve timely procurement support and quality compliance

Other Responsibilities:

CLIENT MANAGEMENT:

- Acts as the primary contact for negotiating and managing key vendor/supplier contracts

- Participates in continual management discussions to ensure key business requirements are in alignment with sourcing

FINANCIAL:

- Identify, negotiate and implement contract & framework agreements which result in efficiencies in line with financial and forecasting requirements.

- Maintain accurate auditable records of all procurement process which result in high process compliance.

BUSINESS PROCESS:

- Conduct efficient and collaborative procurements which are corporately compliant (advice, tendering, evaluation award & contract management) and which result in a high value adding commercial outcome.

- Build supplier, category and market understanding through performance management, research and stakeholder briefings which result in the management of commercial issues throughout the commissioning and procurement cycle.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT:

- Prepare timely and accurate management information covering aspects of stakeholder engagement in the procurement process lifecycle which result in effective performance management and delivery of required outcomes.

- Actively engage in continuous professional development strategies. Identifies and develops key internal network to enhance relationship building/management

Skill Set:

- Ability to priorities and work on own initiative

- Influencing others both internally and externally up to Head of Service level through presentations, negotiations, written reports with high degree of tact and diplomacy

- Excellent IT skills.

- Self-starter with excellent business/financial acumen, proficient working with cross-functional teams, including demonstrated motivation, influence, and the ability to drive change across all levels of the organization and geographical boundaries

- Effective Project management skills
