AVP Operations Governance


- Plan & conduct process confirmations for Operations function, identify & highlight gaps in process, present findings to leads, suggest process changes and track it to logical closure

- Identify areas of process automation, reduction in manual efforts & work with the functional leads to ensure these areas are evaluated and taken up with appropriate teams

- Identify current state processes and hand-offs, and understand the target state scope, objective and business outcomes

- Conduct reviews with Leads to identify controls in processes for which there are currently no mitigating controls in place

- Perform data analysis to identify patterns / trends and create operational controls

- Qualitative contribution to refine existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

- Work with leads to implement process changes and improvements

- Track Board meetings, actionables with Leads & ensure timely response to concerned team

- Track Board Decks are preparation, follow-up with leads, ensure timely review and submission to concerned team

- Track Risk & Compliance submissions for Operations

- Master's degree required

- 10+ years' experience in process documentation, defining flows, process maps, process / control / compliance testing / Board decks in the financial services industry or Big Four firm or consultancy firm

- Ability to understand complex processes and articulate the same

- Knowledge of financial products, markets, and operational processes

- Excellent presentation and written communication skills

- Strong time management and analytical skills

- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must

- Ability to meet tight deadlines while working on multiple tasks

- Leverage strong communication skills to interact with various levels of stakeholders across Operations and externally in other Divisions

- Strong attention to detail.

- Quick to learn on all processes.

- Collaborates well with others in an effort achieve objectives.

- Ability to maintain focus, flexibility, and organization.

- Comfortable working in fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Auditing, control testing or regulatory/law, Board deck experience

- Experience of using data analytics to facilitate control testing

- Understanding of information technology systems and standard system implementation methodologies

- Operations experience

- Project Management experience
