JOB DESCRIPTION - AVP, OPERATIONS  About company :  - Company is a leading provider of high-end research, analytics and other customized financial services including valuation, financial modeling, research, portfolio management, etc.  - Founded in late 2006 by 2 ex-Merrill lynch bankers  - Strength is ~300 people and growing its client and revenue base at 50%  - Strong global client base - Primarily Private Equity firms, Boutique Investment Banks, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Corporates, and Family offices  Overview of the Role:  - A multi-faceted role requiring the individual to independently manage multiple departments including Human Resources, Information Technology, Professional Development, and Admin  - Assist the SVP/Management in the development of organization policies and goals that cover operations, personnel, and growth of the departments mentioned above  - This position will directly report to the Management and will be a part of the senior core management at company  - The next two years should see the company grow from just over 300 people to well over 500 and this role would be key to managing non-financial delivery operations and helping them scale to achieve this growth and beyond  Responsibilities Assumed:  1. Submitting reports to the Management on a monthly/quarterly basis  2. Conducting commercial Analysis for performance evaluation and decision-making support  a. Assisting the Management in design and performance of commercial analysis and feasibility studies  b. Working with external consultants and experts when needed  c. Performing secondary research to support analysis when needed  d. Producing appropriate reports for senior management and board  e. Identifying problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend and implement solutions  f. Preparing analytical reports, statements, and memoranda for management presentations  3. Budgeting and Forecasting  a. Providing support to senior management and department heads in forecasting and budgeting activity  4. Project Coordination and Tracking  a. Supporting project managers of key strategic projects with workflow/workstream coordination and tracking  5. Conducting special studies relating to resource allocation issues and their overhead costs  6. Recommending ways to improve cost tracking methods, analysis, and reporting  Education: Any Graduate/MBA preferred  Work Experience: 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience including team management  Compensation: Commensurate with industry standards  Job Location: Pune
