AVP - Legal & Compliance - BFS (8-16 yrs)

The role holder will operate and monitor country policies and procedures to identify, assess, monitor, mitigate and report Compliance and Legal risks. He/she will ensure implementation of the Group's Compliance Risk Monitoring framework, including independent compliance risk assessment and monitoring. The role holder will provide support and advice to senior management to address local legal and regulatory issues and risks. He/she will provide support and advice to country management on legal and regulatory issues and risks so that they can operate to the highest standards of conduct by meeting regulatory and legal requirements, adhering to the ethical policies in the Group Code of Conduct and the standards established by the Group Compliance Standard Manual.

Job Responsibilities

- To monitor to ensure effective implementation and adherence to Group Legal and Compliance Risk policy, procedures and standards and country laws and regulations.

- To identify and report new and/or changing areas of law and regulation. To guide the country management to take pre-emptive action to ensure compliance

- For assigned areas of responsibility, to ensure Legal and Compliance function is adequately and appropriately resourced in GSSC India.

- Vetting and drafting of Legal agreements / contracts
