Job Description AVP, Global Risk Data & Reporting Description Global Service Centres Our Global Service Centres are an integral part of Global Operations. Employees based there manage day-to-day customer transactions and processes for the global businesses. This may include transactions for our retail bank such as processing loans, credit cards, insurance and mortgage applications, opening new accounts, and managing customer enquiries through contact centres and digital platforms. Employees in the Global Service Centres also run and manage operations for commercial bank customers. This includes processing credit applications, facilitating payments and managing the import and export transactions that enable customers to protect and grow their businesses through international trade. Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role) - Global Analytics Centre (GAC) provides support to various business groups and the job involves data analysis, model and strategy development &amp; implementation, reporting and data management. It forms the information basis for strategic planning by the senior management for businesses and enables effective decision making to satisfy business needs and requirements along with addressing unforeseen challenges. - There are primarily four job families in GAC: Decision Sciences, Information Management, Analytic Consulting and Risk MI Reporting. This role is within Risk MI &amp; Reporting job family supporting various functions including Data Management, Business Intelligence Reporting and Infrastructure. This role will be in a team that is expected to design and develop Information Management Solutions which will help business drive informed decisions. - The role has significant responsibility in improving efficiency of the process through streamlining, while focusing on Risk MI reporting including analysis internally and externally. - A key responsibility is to identify &amp; deliver process improvements and implement a quality assurance methodology. - Lead the engagement with the Software Delivery team as part of the Global Risk Data &amp; MI program working alongside the Risk Reporting Improvements workstream. - This role requires the incumbent to provide functional leadership to a small team and ensure execution of projects/analysis/reporting as per the agreed timelines and with accuracy and quality from the teams. - Knowledge of BCBS 239 would be an added advantage - Strong People management experience is desirable We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the AVP, Global Risk Data &amp; Reporting GCB5, GSCs. The candidate shall also be expected to set the team goals, track progress against goals and provide remedial action as and when required. - to manage conflicting priorities in day in day out basis (a critical component in this role) - to manage the ever increasing business partner expectations by focusing on stakeholder management Role Context (The environment and operating conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority) - The establishment of the Global Resourcing business is a major Group Strategic initiative which seeks to achieve cost savings, service improvements and competitive advantage through the use of the high skill / low cost base available in Asian countries. - The job holder will be responsible for end to end project delivery and will have to co-ordinate multiple activities across the Global Risk and Data Reporting team within GAC effectively to ensure satisfactory delivery of the required results in a fast-paced environment. - The role holder will be responsible for leading and delivering key efficiency improvement projects. Management of Risk (GHR / FIM requirements) (Standard across levels and competencies) - To abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Departments. The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes which is applicable to the business. - The role holder needs to manage multiple clients from different regions having different time zones, regulatory environment, and maturity of business, data and systems. - Employment environment in advanced analytics in India is one where demand exceeds supply. Therefore one of key roles is to hire and retain good quality resources for stable delivery of analytical solutions to business partners. The role holder has to continuously adopt varying managerial skills and innovative ways to retain key resources. This becomes even more important when resources with similar skills are paid more by key competitors. The continual pressure from business partners to reduce or maintain the charge-back rates limits the levers to operate competitively in the job market. - There are multiple teams supporting different aspects analytics for the same larger business problems. The job holder needs to drive collaborations and synergies to integrate the analytics solutions for the business - The role holder shall be expected to understand key areas of expertise within GAC that are relevant to his/her function and proactively drive adoption of best practices. The role holder shall also be expected to create replicable solutions. As a key member of the Global Resourcing senior management team the job holder is expected to help shape future business strategy and define long term contribution to the group. Observation of Internal Controls (GHR / FIM requirements) (Standard across levels and competencies) - To maintain internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Role Dimensions (e.g. balance sheet size, lending or expenditure limits, size/volume of transactions, budget, etc. in USD000) - The role holder shall have consolidated responsibility to meet the overall customer data, infrastructure and reporting needs of the business partner.
