AVP - IT Project management - BFS (5-10 yrs)

Principal Responsibilities :

Manage the development and implementation of IT projects for Enterprise wide initiatives :

- Analyse user requirements and come up with a blue print of feasible systems solution. Lead the clear choice exercise wherever applicable.

- Manage the end to end systems delivery life cycle (or project life cycle) from approved Clear Choice to Implementation to ensure business requirements are met or exceeded, on time and within budget in line with business case of the project.

- Provide technical support to business for enabling commercialisation of projects after technical go-live.

- Define Critical Success Factors (CSFs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other objectives that must be met by the project requirements including non-functional requirements like Capacity handling, Response time, secure access, Alerting, Monitoring.

- Create Project plans, Risk Register and all project artefacts required as per the Framework.

- Monitor and report Project health from Costs, Schedule, Quality perspective and using the standard tools.

- Produce effective progress reports for assigned projects to keep management apprised of project status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievements or misses.

- Run Project working Group and Project Steering Committee meetings with Project participants and other stakeholders including Project Sponsor.

- Facilitate the resolution of issues that come up during Project execution.

- Follow the IT Cost Management Governance for External vendor spends.

- Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders within Business/Functions, Group IT.

- Build and manage relationships with Vendor Partners/Fintechs in this space and monitor their performance as per standards for Third Party Management.

- Strong vendor management controls & practices for existing vendors of Bank systems.

- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure team for ensuring timely availability and support for IT infrastructure required for Projects.

- Develop a good level of understanding of the relevant business systems of the Group that are required to support the business/functions.

- Maintain and ensure due observance of Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators. Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Policies.

Any other additional Information :

- The jobholder has to have an excellent knowledge of the Payments systems development and project management discipline and can put the discipline into practice. This role is responsible for market scouting, recommendation and implementation of all Digital and Mobility initiatives for the Bank from technology end. The position involves planning, organizing and controlling all day to day new IT initiatives of the Bank and collaborate with all internal as well as external stakeholders.

- Awareness of the leading Payments initiatives (locally & globally), and market products in Payments will be an added advantage.

- Technical knowledge on Internet technologies, Mobile, Wallets, encryption standards like PKI / hashing etc

- Understand the Functional & Technical requirements, work on solution delivery with Vendors, internal IT teams and business stakeholders.

- Design the recommended solution as per Banks need and ecosystem.

- Create integration & implementation plans, do risk assessment on IT systems,

- Create/review Interfaces design, specifications, architectural acumen etc.

- Carry out System Integration & Implementation.

- This position requires exceptional technical design and analysis skills, and the ability to effectively communicate precisely and accurately across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications - External

- Graduate / Postgraduate preferably with certifications like PMP, PMI-ACP.

- IT experience and at least 5 years in managing delivery and support of IT systems within banking domain. Experience in Regulatory projects for banking would be an added advantage.

- Technical Experience and knowhow of application development on Linux/Windows, Oracle/SQL/DB2, Tomcat/WAS and using Java/.Net technologies.

- Familiar with tools used in Agile/Dev Ops for Development, Testing, Build, Configuration and Release Management.

- Project management experience and proven ability to coordinate complex initiatives.

- Ability to work individually and get deliveries done with Vendors, Internal IT teams having no direct reporting

- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

- Analytical, Problem -Solving skills and ability to simplify complex asks

- Self-Driven team player with ability to work in Large, Global organisation.

- Exposure to Cloud, digital technologies, Data warehouse solutions would be added advantage.
