Education: Chartered Accountant
Experience:
- Min 6 to 7 years of IB / sell side M&A experience & having closed at-least 4 - 5 deals in the past
- Experience in TMT and / or IT/ ITeS highly preferred but not mandatory
Skills:
- Strong written & oral communication skills
- Strong accounting and financial skills
- Proficient in preparation of Information Memorandums, Pitches and Teasers
- Proficiency in financial modelling & valuation techniques
- Ability to multi-task and execute multiple mandates timely with minimal supervision
- Ability to negotiate offers, deal structures, transaction documents (and key issues) involved in an M&A process
- Team player & ability to work in a globally dispersed team
- Flexibility to travel across APAC, Europe, and the US
- Comfortable with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Conversant with databases like S&P CapIQ
- Passion towards Investment Banking
Responsibilities:
Execution:
- Responsible to execute transactions end to end including the preparation of Pitches, Information Memorandums and Financial Models
- Supporting/guiding a team of analysts and associates
- Doing target and acquirer screening
- Participate in management/buyer meetings, handle Q&As and negotiate offers
- Assistance in drafting and evaluating various legal documents like NDAs, etc.,
- Facilitation of buyer and seller interactions (organizing road shows, conference calls, etc.,)
- Drafting meeting preparatory notes, management questionnaire, etc.,
- Manage the due diligence and transaction documentation process
Origination:
- Take an active part in business development efforts of the team by participating in origination activity and making client pitches
- Carry out extensive industry / company research and target data required for identification and assessment of possible mandates
