AVP/Global Lead - Record To Report - BFSI

Job Role:

The Incumbent will be responsible for leading general ledger activities and the timely completion of month-end and year-end closing process - ensuring accurate results and compliance with laws and regulations. This includes managing general ledger accountants who support multiple regions, Fixed assets accounting team, the intercompany team, and the consolidations team.

Job Responsibilities:

- Oversee the execution of day-to-day operations of the General Accounting, Intercompany, Fixed Assets and Consolidations teams

- Possess strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other international accounting standards

- Oversee general ledger and financial statement/reporting activities across all in-scope regions, as well as month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

- Review and approve account reconciliations, manual journal entries, and analyses based on Client accounting procedures and controls, ensuring they follow U.S. and local GAAP regulations

- Plan and execute the consolidation and period-end close processes within SAP S/4HANA and Group Reporting in accordance with period-end close calendar

- Lead the Accounting group's interaction with global teams (U.S., Europe, Hong Kong, etc.) to ensure effective delivery of reports, work products, support to regions and response to queries

- Implement and execute controls and identify high-risk areas to facilitate compliance with U.S. and local GAAP requirements of all national and/or regional laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions

Qualifications:

- A Chartered Accountant/CPA with 10 - 15+ years of Accounting and Reporting experience with a Global Third Party service provider or Corporate Accounting from a MNC.

- 5+ years of team handling experience, in F&A operations

- Advanced knowledge of general ledger and intercompany concepts and applications

- Advanced understanding of accounting policies, U.S. / Local GAAP, statutory accounting principles and tax requirements

- Advanced knowledge of IFRS standards

- Advanced working knowledge with ERP systems (preferably SAP S4 HANA)
