The candidate would be based out of Mumbai and working with the global G10 FX Forwards desk. The team makes markets in G10 FX forwards and swaps. The role suits a self-motivated, highly energetic individual who has a strong background in mathematics or financial engineering. The role offers great opportunity to the candidate's their knowledge of and exposure to FX, Interest rates, and their derivative products such as Swaps & FRAs.

The broad areas of responsibility would entail, but not be limited to, designing trading strategies, identifying market opportunities, developing strategic tools for P/L optimization & generation. The candidate may also be required to create customized reports on trading metrics like risk-taking, inventory turnover and wider business metrics like capital efficiency and franchise performance. These analytics will assist senior traders to gain an enhanced understanding of their business, strategy, and performance.

The person needs to be agile and adaptive to the dynamic demand of the desk. The person would also be required to work with the Data science team on cutting edge technology for gaining market edge.

Key Accountabilities :

- Using data analysis techniques to analyse various strategies and their PnL impact

- Conducting analysis for the trading desk related to risk taking, turnover, market making efficiency etc.

- Conducting analysis for the trading desk related to capital efficiency, client impact, hit ratios etc. Ad hoc data analysis projects that deliver actionable insights for the trading desk

- Data sourcing and amalgamation from various databases to conduct analysis and comparison

Stakeholder Management and Leadership:

- The candidate will need to interact directly and frequently with NYK/London/SGP G10 FX forwards Trading Team

- Decision-making and Problem Solving

- The candidate will need to be highly proactive in identifying issues and getting them resolved by liaising with various stakeholders

- The candidate will need to work on several time-sensitive activities and is therefore required to be meticulous and efficient

- The candidate should have an excellent eye for detail and should ensure that he/she meets a zero error tolerance requirement as most output forms a critical input for business decision making
 
Person Specification :

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

- Good understanding of FX and interest rate products and financial markets including but not limited to swaps & FRAs

- In depth knowledge in FX

- Strong Statistical, Time series and Data Analysis Skills

- Good coding skills

- Excellent communication skills (oral/written)

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of FX derivative products

- Knowledge of Python

- Knowledge of kdb+/q
