AVP - Finance & Accounts

Job location: Head Office Bangalore

Job Summary:

- The Finance and Accounts Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

- This role involves managing a team of accountants and working closely with the leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Consolidation:

- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.

- Manage the consolidation of accounts for multiple business units.

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.

Transaction Management:

- Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, filed, and reported.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all financial transactions.

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.

Compliance and Auditing:

- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulatory requirements.

- Prepare and support all audit processes.

- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.

Budgeting and Financial Planning:

- Develop budgets and financial plans based on thorough research and data analysis.

- Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.

- Support the development of long-term financial strategies and goals.

General Ledger and Close Process:

- Oversee general ledger functions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure the team remains knowledgeable and skilled.

- Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity.

- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and experience with financial reporting and consolidation.

- Proficiency in financial management software (e.g, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
