AVP - Equity Research Analyst - BFSI

This role is responsible for managing the performance of the equity schemes of the company's AUM. The person is expected to manage the equity portfolios with the objective of delivering returns that are superior to that of the defined benchmarks, while at the same time manage the portfolio risks through timely stock-specific action.

- Preparing fundamental equity research reports, sector updates, company updates on various sectors.

- Building financial models with future projections for valuation analysis based on historical numbers, micro, and macro analysis.

- Writing sector strategy and market strategy reports

- Meeting with the management, industry players and various stakeholders to better understand the business and industry

- Interacting with the Investment committee on a regular basis and keeping them updated on the latest developments in the companies under coverage and sector.

- Organizing client meetings, road shows, attending conference calls, analyst meets

- Scanning broker research and studying stock/sector/economy reports, discussing key research reports with author/analyst.

- Meeting companies in the investable universe and other allied sectors/industries to assess key trends /developments.

- Decide on the corrective steps in terms of Stock selection, Sector allocation, and Asset allocation, so that the portfolio is best positioned to perform better than the defined benchmarks, over the medium term.

- Ensure timely Regulatory compliance.

- Customer Communication (Compilation of quarterly newsletter with investor-related information on performance and market environment

- Investment Reporting (Preparation of management reports for different stakeholders)

- To build and strengthen the team to create Company/ Sector/ Macroeconomic database to help anticipate emerging trend for different companies/ Sector and Economy.

Required Experience :

- 12 + years of relevant experience in equity research analysis space

- Post-graduation

- Exposure to and familiarity with multiple sectors of the economy

- Understanding business models and company fundamentals

- Stock selection and ability to beat the defined benchmarks.
