AVP - Data Scientist (8-12 yrs)
Role : Data Scientist
Skill : Python, SQL, Machine learning, Modeling, NLP, Computer vision
Location : Gurgaon
Role & Responsibilities Overview:
- Develop long-lasting, trusted advisor relationships with clients
- Provide Project, Client & Team Management and Monitor progress of deliverables on daily basis and ensures timely resolution of any issues
- Ensure Industry best practices are followed, Communicate and follow up with delivery team
- Brainstorming on pain areas/Identifying reasons for issues/Issue Resolution, diagnosis of inefficiencies in the current process and figuring out ways to resolve it
- Provide technical direction to project team members across data modeling, data manipulation, visualization, predictive modeling, Reporting and Automation projects across Insurance Value Chain
- Facilitate client working sessions and lead recurring project status meetings
- Manage day-to-day project operations, serve as the functional and domain expert on the project team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Key Responsibilities & Skillsets :
- 8-12 years' experience, with at least 5 years in insurance analytics (preferably in P&C Insurance)
- Experience in working in dual shore engagement and must have experience in managing clients directly
- Competitor analysis, And data analysis to solve business problems
- Complete understanding and demonstrated experience of SAS, SQL, Visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau, Python and various modeling techniques
- Managerial experience in leading analytics teams including career management of offshore staff, training, recruiting
- Demonstrated leadership ability and willingness to take initiative
- Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
- Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
- Experience across different function of analytics value chain - Data Engineering, Reporting & Viz., Insight generations, Predictive modeling
- Experience in advance analytics - Pred mod, ML/AI/ NLP etc. using Python/R/SAS
Data Management Skillsets :
- Strong familiarity with advanced analytics (Python, R), and related software applications
- Good knowledge of data base management and SQL, Informatica, Hadoop/Spark, and ETL tools.
- Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements
- Exposure to Cloud data management and AWS services (Preferred)
