AVP - Data Science Solutions - Insurance Domain

Job Overview:

The AVP - Data Science Solutions role leads a team of Data Science Solution Specialists. DS Solution Specialists engage with Clients to understand Business Problems and formulate Solution Architectures in plain English using a highly structured process. They will engage with the Data Science teams to makes sure that the Solution being developed/implemented satisfactorily meet all elements set-out in the Solution Architecture.

Responsibilities:

- Benchmark processes, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them

- Clearly articulate pros and cons of various approaches and platforms in plain language

- Document and get client sign-off on Solution Architecture

- To have excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Identify common Business Problems that will benefit from creation of product-ization/As-a-Service solutions

- Help Decision Science Solution specialists in the design, planning and governance of implementing projects of any kind;

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Required

- MBA or equivalent required

- 8+ years of insurance experience

- Prior Solutions Architecture experience required

- To be able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

- To be a self-starter

- To be able to work in teams, as a big data environment is developed in a team of employees with different disciplines

- To be able to work in a fast-paced agile development environment
