AVP - Credit Research - BFS

NOTE: Only apply if you have relevant experience in Credit Research (Bond Market) & Financial Modeling.

Exp: 8 + Years

Responsibilities :

Individual contributor role :

- Domain knowledge : Has good understanding of various credit markets (IG and HY). Should be able to spot key trends that drive investment views in credit market. Must demonstrate in-depth research and analysis supporting a hypothesis and understands its commercial impact

- Financial modelling : Building and maintaining financial models and working with other senior analysts to review and follow assigned credits

- Reports writing and Idea generation : Independently perform detailed credit analysis and give recommendation on the credit instruments. Should be able to generate thematic research based on changing macro environment and its implications

- Research communication : Communicates credit research views to internal and external clients and understands the structure, style and importance of written research reports

- Client requests : Should handle bespoke client requests which require inputs from multiple analysts from different geographies

- Adhoc projects : Work on adhoc requests which include data gathering/analysis, preparation of marketing presentations etc

- Contribute to department and center level priorities with own initiative

- Ensure compliance : Both Global Research and GBM-GSC related with anticipation and proactiveness.

Skills Required :

Qualifications :

- MBA / CA / CFA or equivalent degree in finance

Skills :

- Strong domain knowledge on credit markets and understanding of IG and HY credits and leverage loan asset classes

- Strong technical skills in analysing Industry/companies trends, advanced financial modelling, valuation is required

- Technical skills in time series analysis and data analytics would be an added advantage

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently; comfortable in dealing with huge data sets

- Good working understanding of financials databases

- Experience in Python/R, advanced MS excel and VBA would be plus

- Flexible approach to workload and demands of the role

Experience :

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

- Should have domain expertise in handling a financial role and large client requests

- Should have managed product quality, handled multiple stakeholders
