AVP - Cost Management/Cost Optimization (4-8 yrs)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, add value and drive continuous improvements
- Redefine cost allocation strategy / methodology in line with the changing business needs
- Collaborate with various stakeholders on cost ideas and understand ongoing cost optimization initiatives to leverage synergies and drive efficiencies
- Work closely with the procurement team to align with strategic objectives, ensure cost synergies are identified early on and embedded to the end-to end process simplification
- Identify areas of cost optimization, process optimization, automation, etc which can bring in efficiency and improve profits.
- Interact with vendors, customers and internal teams to execute and drive actions required for cost optimization and penalty management.
- Identify and engage new vendors for providing various services or products, if applicable
- Providing regular reports on progress made toward targets
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE :
- Around 4 - 8 years of relevant experience
- CA/MBA (Tier I/II) with experience in driving change management and cost optimization projects
- Ability to read and understand contracts/RFPs
- Experience in understanding P&L and measures required to drive cost for achieving profits
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think laterally to arrive at a solution
- Pro-active self-starter, able to multi-task and prioritise under pressure
- Must have an eye for detail and analyse/relate to the business problem in hand
- Good analytical, judgment and decision-making ability along with critical thinking skills
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
