AVP - Control Testing - Assurance, Risk & Control, Internal Audit We are hiring for multiple positions with a UK based Investment Bank into Control Testing. PFB the JD : Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications : - Post graduate degree taught in English language. - Good experience of working in a Audit, Risk, Control or Governance environment within Banking - Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and analytical skills to perform data manipulation. - Strong knowledge of relevant PC packages, e.g. Word & Power Point. - Strong communication abilities with developed report writing skills and presentational skills, including organization, planning and project management abilities. - Pro-active and delivery focused, working to high standards of performance - Ability to prioritise and work under pressure, delivering to tight deadlines and multiple demands. - Exceptional attention to detail and numerate. - Excellent communicator, both written and oral, with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. - Highly organized thinker Have enthusiasm for the work Ability to influence others without formal reporting lines Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications : - Accounting equivalent qualification from Audit / Risk background. - Operational Risk Management - Enterprise Risk Management - Policy and Standard Management - Issues and Exceptions Management - Controls Assurance and Testing Key Indicators (KCI, KRI, KPI) - Data analysis and management information - CISSP / CISA / CRISC preferred but not mandatory - Cyber and Information Security - Data Analytics Tools (Tableau, QlikView) Key Accountabilities : - Support/lead in trouble shooting and unlocking key business issues, making sense out of ambiguity and drawing on knowledge of the function and other group wide initiatives to make sound judgements - Support the management of the internal governance of CCO teams, including project portfolio governance and reporting, tracking of progress and managing key meetings and interventions - Work with stakeholders e.g. Risk, Compliance, Audit and Business Area Managing Director's to ensure that there is adequate governance around implementing new risk and compliance policies and procedures. - Conducting current state assessments, presenting findings and recommendations, negotiating changes in control SLA's and leading implementation plans Risk events governance and monitoring - Follow up on risk events to adhere to Standard timelines and escalate issues as appropriate Risk issues governance and monitoring - Follow up on issue remediation, those nearing due date and escalate as appropriate DWBs governance and monitoring - Collation of DWB information and reporting thereof Audits and issues governance and monitoring - Liaison with BIA stakeholders, reporting of audit issues/audit progress - Provide insight into current control effectiveness by analysing control and business KPI's and performance, weighing up the cost v risk of each control and also externally benchmarking industry standards and then recommending and designing solutions to improve to Business Area's control environment - Take responsibility for my own personal and career development, working in a way that is aligned fully to Values Stakeholder Management and Leadership : - Role holder's work will be used by key internal stakeholders - Over-sighting, tracking and reporting on several key projects or initiatives at the same time to drive improvement - Reporting outputs and story will be the visible outputs to senior stakeholders Decision-making and Problem Solving - The role holder will have a degree of independent thinking and decision-making authority, and ability to influence upwards - Ability to work simultaneously on multiple activities and track actions and drive delivery - Ability to identify trends and themes from problems and issues and make decisions and logical conclusions from analysing facts Risk and Control Objective All colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Standards. - Level of accountability Ownership and/or influence on policies and strategy Quantify any financial accountability /budgetary requirements Likely timeframe of role activities, the impact of the role on the team/organisation Stakeholder management and leadership - Describe levels of stakeholders the individual will be interacting with and expectations. - Discuss nature/ breadth/ interpersonal leadership qualities required - Decision making and problem solving. - Detail should be provided as to the type and complexity of problems and the impact the role has on developing or enhancing existing systems or processes.
