AVP/Chief Manager - Commercial Underwriting - General Insurance (10-15 yrs)
Key responsibilities include :
1. Quote management - Ensuring timely and quality quotes
2. Market engagement - developing confidence with intermediaries on the underwriting capabilities of the company
3. Portfolio management - monitoring performance on top line as well as bottom line and contributing to corrective measures for deviations
4. Profitability - ensure product level and regional level profitability
5. Growth - ensure contribution to company's top line in coordination and collaboration with sales team
Our ideal candidate has :
- Sound knowledge of property and marine lines of business
- Strong evaluation and assessment skills for risk selection
- Effective communication skills for developing market presence
- Analytical abilities to analyze profitability
- An eye for excellence in terms bringing innovative ideas to cater to market requirements
- Social skills to develop rapport in local market and bring in market intelligence
- Need 10-12 years of experience in commercial underwriting
