Business Expertise :

A strong understanding is required of the various functions within the Asset Servicing business and how they fit together

- A consistent ability to deliver, even under tough circumstances, within deadlines and manage client expectation

- Previous involvement in managing complex projects or programs

- Experience of working across the core Asset Servicing functions - Custody/Trustee, Transfer Agency & Fund Accounting

- The Business Change Manager/Business Analyst should have a sound understanding of the commercial environment and competitors- products

- Identify and manage issues, risks and change control throughout the project lifecycle

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead and control change management projects, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Product Launch or enhancement.

- Services - Refers to a project pertaining to one of investment services: TA, FA, Custody, Trustee, Depobank, etc.

- Existing Business Enhancement: all those enhancements that pertain to existing clients.

- Operational Support Enhancement: related to increase of efficiency or reducing manual workarounds

- Technology Enhancement: related to those enhancements required to support Client requests and wider Technology initiatives across the group.

- Risk and Security Enhancements: developments that relate to all additional controls that minimise risk and increase security.

- Regulatory - Refers to an enhancement that is being driven by directives from country or European legal authorities.

- Manage goals, risks, issues and resources and ensure a QA process is applied through the project/service lifecycle.

- Construct effort-driven, resource-levelled project plans for assigned projects

- Analyse, define and prioritise business requirements (and functional specifications if required) spanning multiple business and technology areas, based on Client requirements and user needs. Translates into functional design, test planning and user documentation.

- Work closely with Project Initiators, Technology, Operations and/or the Client to ensure that effective communication takes place.

- Use standard project process / implementation methods to ensure efficiency

- Facilitate project meetings and workshops as appropriate

- Produce associated output from any project group sessions and issue to relevant parties for sign off and communication

- Escalate any issues that will impact significantly the delivery of the project or program to the Project/Program Sponsor

- Ensure a regular communication flow between all relevant parties to keep up to date on progress, slippage and issues arising (Weekly report, CAIR log, project plans)

- Co-ordinate project post implementation reviews.

- Provide clear direction and leadership to staff managed in the course of a project, including where appropriate setting individual objectives at the start of a project and reviewing outcomes during and at the end of the project.

- Manage communication with the various technology groups (including external suppliers) that provide services (directly or indirectly) to the business area, to ensure that related project activities in those groups are performed in line with agreed plans and budgets.

- Define and manage any project/program budget with regular tracking

- Have a sound understanding of products, services and clients.

- Lead allocated projects and programs in order to ensure successful delivery and implementation within deadlines

- Organise resources for project workshops/support with relevant managers in line with both business and project needs

- Ensure BCG Standard Methodology is used, quality controls are put in place in project plans and change control processes are implemented

- Ensure project deliverables are capable of achieving the benefits defined in the Business case

- Ensure all project commitments are met

- Monitor and report on progress of projects

- Evaluate potential risks and issues and determine appropriate actions/plans to contain them

- Provides consultation to the Client and the Business on applying technology to business opportunities and processes, including planning and implementing across functional applications or systems.

- Provides consultation to Clients and Internal Business groups on process improvements projects designed to improve business results.highly desirable.

Minimum Experience: 6- 8 years

Preferred Experience:

Significant experience in Investment Banking/Investment Services/Securities Operations Functions preferably with multi-national/financial service businesses (US-based).

IT experience helpful
