The primary duties of this role are as follows:

- Will be responsible for using data analytics to review the existing distribution strategy and recommend changes as appropriate.

- Articulating the business strategy, aligning the AMC India Sales organization and its partners towards the strategy and partnering with them on implementation of related initiatives.

- The role would be strongly involved in prioritizing any investments in technology or resources required to facilitate the realization of the strategic initiatives.

- Analyzing opportunities, translating them into strategic initiatives and modifying the distribution and marketing processes in real time to maximize the benefits presented by those opportunities.

- AVP Business Planning will achieve these goals through the development of an organization structure that is strongly aligned to the business units within and outside AMC India Sales.

- AVP Business Planning will be responsible for building the competencies for Analytics, Strategy development, technology and project management.

This role works very closely with executive and senior management across AMC India Sales organization, as well as executive and senior management in other AMC business units.

Strategy Implementation:

Activities include:

- Identifying best opportunities for sales growth through analytics and industry analysis and translating that information into strategic initiatives

- Developing and overseeing cross-functional teams to assist in the evaluation of channel and product trends and converting outcomes into strategic initiatives

- Conduct market analysis, determine prioritization of products for campaigns, campaign planning, prioritization of technology investments, customer segmentation, strategy for allocation of resources and activities to different market segments (coverage plan)

- Review and analyze market developments, competitors, opportunities and challenges that could impact future strategy enhancements.

- Continuous reevaluation of strategies and tactics to ensure they continue to deliver on the business plan.

- Establish achievable targets for all lines of business based on measureable data.

- Drive the execution of all strategic initiatives and meet regularly with senior management to report on progress and required adjustments to the plan.

- Recommend changes to capital allocation (people, technology spend, discretionary spending) based on results analysis and changing market conditions.

- Use EUIN effectively with appropriate technology like CRM and others to provide necessary analytical support to sales team.

- Collaborate with different departments like Products, Marketing, Technology, TA, Finance to receive right data and then interpretation of the data to achieve planned goals.

- Ensure alignment of AMC India Sales and firm priorities. This will include participation and presentation at planning meetings and update sessions for all partners.

- Development of Analytics and Campaigns as functions.

- Strategic thought leadership and deployment of technology solutions affecting distribution strategies.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Education and Experience:

- Post graduate, preferably from a premier institute.

- Preference will be given to Computer Engineering background and/or those who have worked on technology linked projects.

- Minimum of 10 years experience in strategy, sales, sales/distribution management.

- Experience demonstrating proficiency in knowledge building, business leadership and change management

- Understanding of customer relationship management practices, advisor industry, platforms

- Experience with developing and managing multiple large-scope projects.

- Knowledge of Sales systems, mutual fund operations and/or TA systems

Licences and Certifications:

- AMFI/NISM

- CFA/CFP preferred

Skills and Abilities:

- Technology savvy

- Should be very good with numbers

- Strong analytical skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong attention to details

- Strong presentation skills

- Excellent organization, planning and leadership skills required.

- Excellent advocacy and persuasive skills

- Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines

- Ability to build relationships

- Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems; ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives
