- A Leading Global Financial Services group is looking to hire a Graduate or an MBA in Finance with 8+ years of Project Management Experience around automation / efficiency / process optimisation and streamlining driven exercises within the Finance and MI space.
- Advanced Excel skills, MS Access and PowerPoint knowledge.
- Technically sound with in-depth knowledge of the Digital tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tablaeu etc.
- Experience with data extract, transform and load (ETL) tools as Alteryx and data visualization tools.
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows supporting BI reports.
- Develop self-service models, data analytics using power BI service.
- Knowledge of Finance reporting systems such as Hyperion Essbase and / or Cognos etc.
- Knowledge within the Fintech space will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Control & Reporting
- Deep dive of firms cost base through preparation of monthly cost reporting packs for senior management highlighting key expense areas for effective decision making.
- Month end accounting including booking monthly provisions for corporate and business divisions post discussions with stakeholders & business managers, ensuring that the payments are matched against provisions booked, analysing variances of monthly expenses with budget and substantiation of expenses reflecting in Balance sheet.
- Interrogating numbers with a view to proactively advising the business/ corporate divisions on monthly performance v/s budgets and prior periods.
- Working with Business Managers and Corporate CAOs to improve the understanding of key cost drivers and the corporate cost base attributed.
Budgeting / Forecasting
- Assistance in annual budget & monthly forecast process, including helping to co-ordinate the regional process, working closely with regional controllers and providing analysis of information at different stages.
Projects/Re-engineering/Ad-hoc
- Actively engage with Business Managers and Regional Controllers in firm wide cost reduction initiatives
- Continual review of processes and procedures with a view to streamlining or improving efficiency to leave more time for value added analysis.
- A significant element of the role involves dealing with ad hoc queries from a number of different sources - business managers, corporate CAOs, senior management and the central finance function
