Experience & Skillset

- Must have 7+ years of experience as a BA within Credit Risk domain in large complex organisations.

- Wholesale Credit Risk experience (preferably IT / change / transformation)

- Previous experience in data (preferably credit risk data) related projects

- Good product knowledge and understanding of key risk measurements

- Ability to analyse large volumes of data and understand commonalities in data

- Hands on experience of basic programming using SQL and Python

- Data warehousing experience ideally in a Big Data or Google environment is preferred

- Experience of working with Tableau to design and build reports is desirable (not mandatory)

- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) - the ability to communicate effectively and clearly is vital.

- Able to build strong relationships with other risk functions and business units

- Ability to take a strategic, big picture view, while focusing on pragmatic delivery

- Team player with good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

- Willingness to dig into details and appetite, enthusiasm and desire to initiate change, and execute strategy.

Role Purpose

- The Risk Reporting Programme is a major strategic initiative and aims to introduce combined, consolidated, consistent data model and attributes to support the reporting requirements for both internal and regulatory purposes.

- The Transformation Business Analyst is required to provide business analysis expertise and support for the implementation of the Strategic Risk Reporting Programme and supporting processes.

- The role will concentrate across Wholesale Credit Risk component deliverables from both a business and data analysis perspective.

This may include (but is not restricted to):

- Requirement (data attributes) gathering and documentation.

- Data analysis and normalization

- Data attribute mapping for strategic source systems to support risk reporting

- Risk Report creation by understanding the regulatory and internal requirements

- Review and appraisal of technical / functional specifications.

- Test planning, testing and support to facilitate user acceptance testing.

- Liaising directly with software delivery teams and other stakeholders

Responsibilities

- Data requirements gathering from all the Global Wholesale Credit Risk components

- Prepare detailed data requirement documentation

- Analyse and understand data attributes and normalise the data across different risk systems.

- Map the normalised risk data to the data model

- Liaise with the SMEs to verify requirements and mapping

- Contribute to consistent, common data model

- Support the workstream leads with data analysis and development estimates, and risk/issue identification.

- Design and build risk reports using the tool of choice

- Design of test strategy including preparing test cases for component and User Acceptance Testing

- Involvement in and execution of component tests in conjunction with SWD

- Be aware of Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points.

- Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
