AVP - Accounts & Finance
Treasury :
- Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored, including credit control. Advise on the proper allocation of resources.
- Ensure adequate funds when needed and at lowest possible cost
- Ensure proper documentation with respect to the banking activities thus ensuring compliance for various purpose
- Supervising day to day cash and banking operations
- Maintain day-to-day financial control of the service within budget heads agreed by the management.
Purchase and Accounts payable :
- Review of the procurement process and ensure the best possible procurement opportunities for the group
- Ensuring proper internal controls in place within the group for review and approval of expenses/purchase
- Review of the controls on a regular basis to ensure compliance
- Ensuring payments to vendors as per credit terms finalized
Accounts receivable :
- Invoicing the clients as per the schedule/mandate after discussion with business
- Follow up for overdue receivable with the account manager/customer
General Ledger (GL) Management and Compliance :
- Review of the GL on an on-going basis to ensure compliance with the accounting policies
- Preparing the financial statement for statutory audit and get the same audited
- Ensuring proper documentation and schedules updated every month for audit purpose
- Review of reimbursable expenses for rebilling
Taxation :
- Ensuring compliance with the tax documentation and policies for accounting
- Assessment and hearing documentation and data compilation
- Filing of returns for GST and income tax within due dates
- Ensuring tax optimization for the group
- Ensuring transfer pricing documentation and compliance
Compliance :
- Develop all the compliance related policies for the company based on SEBI and other regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for, implementing and overseeing all compliance requirements of SEBI with respect to Insider Trading regulations and Merchant Banking regulations for intermediaries
- Perform the role of a Compliance Officer as per the requirements of SEBI
- Ensure compliance with local and federal laws;
- Serve as primary legislative liaison relative to company's financial issues and business matters
- Production of the quarterly compliance assessment reports
- Preparation of annual operational self-risk assessments
- Quarterly and annual compliance testing
- Keep abreast of all relevant legislation and regulations, in relevant jurisdictions where the company conducts business, with a particular focus on Licensing and Anti-Money Laundering.
- Ensure professional staff are kept abreast of all relevant regulatory updates
- Handle compliance matters such as anti-money laundering clearance, conflict clearance and staff dealing clearance
- Correspond with the regulatory bodies in respect of their inquiries and requests
- Handle compliance related queries, as appropriate
- Monitor and report on compliance with all policies and procedures
- Conduct all new employees-compliance induction training and ongoing staff training on risk and compliance
- Assist in the cultivation of a culture of compliance
- Manage and conduct internal audit function
MIS :
- Ability to develop, monitor and maintain management information systems and procedures.
- Initiate and guide the preparation of forecasts of company revenue, working capital, expenditure and return on investments
- Preparation of the projection for the year (including P&L)
- Review of the results on a quarterly basis in comparison to projections
- Treasury MIS
- Reimbursement MIS
