Operations Manager

Job Description :

- Auroville Investment Management is a bottom-up, research-intensive, long/short equity investment fund based in Hong Kong with a global mandate with an Asia thematic bias (www.auroim.com). Our portfolio focused across 4 industry verticals: Consumer, Financials, TMT and Industrials tends to be concentrated and characterized by multi-year holding periods, reflecting the longer-term nature of our capital base.

- The fund's focus is primarily on Asian themes but our footprint is global, including significant US and European investments. Our Asian positions are distributed across China, Japan, India, South East Asia (Indonesia, Philippines), and Australia.

Job Description :

In order to support our ongoing business growth, the Fund is now looking to hire a Operations Support Manager based in India, ideally in New Delhi. Compensation competitive and strong career track and development opportunity interacting with colleagues from leading schools and companies. The key responsibilities of this Manager include:

1. Trade execution and post-execution support :

a) Submit trade allocations daily in Custodian portal

b) Send trade allocation via email to Executing brokers and upload trades in prime broker web portal if not automated.

c) Perform daily & monthly position and cash reconciliation between the Fund, Prime Brokers and the Fund administrator.

d) Manually book trades in the system and other transactions if there are any mismatch

e) Monitor trade settlement, trade exceptions and corporate actions

2. Finance process support :

a) Prepare quarterly fund board directors meeting package and directors resolutions

b) Review and approve monthly NAV calculation by fund administrator

c) Maintain the accounting books and records for the management companies and prepare budget reports

d) Maintain payroll and MPF details make entries in bank for salaries, and preparation of financial statements

3. Regulatory filings :

a) Prepare and submit regulatory filings with SFC, SEC, IRD, FINRA, CIMA, etc Eg/- SFC FRR, SFC notifications like increase in share capital, change in directors, Form ADV

b) Liaise with auditors for both Fund and Management company

c) Handle SFC licence applications for the responsible officers and licensed representatives

d) Monitor the firm compliance program on personal account dealing and restricted list update

4. Other adhoc tasks :

a) Manage and coordinate account opening with various prime broker/ executing brokers, change in brokers, fund administrator, auditors and other service providers

b) Optimizing firm efficiency by running analytics on the investment and operating performance

c) Handle operational due diligence requests from potential and existing investors
