About the Job:

- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Manager to join our dynamic audit and finance team in Chennai.

- This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0-1 year of post-qualification experience to develop their expertise across a broad spectrum of audit and taxation functions.

- As an Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records, contributing to the overall financial health and integrity of the organization.

- You will gain hands-on experience in various audit methodologies, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements, working closely with senior team members and clients.

Responsibilities:

Statutory Audits:

- Assist in planning and executing statutory audits in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, Ind AS) and regulatory requirements.

- Conduct audit procedures, including testing of controls and substantive testing of transactions and balances.

- Prepare audit working papers and ensure they are well-documented and support audit findings.

- Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior team members.

- Assist in the preparation of statutory audit reports and financial statements.

- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and audit regulations.

Internal Audits:

- Participate in the planning and execution of internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.

- Conduct process reviews and identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency and internal controls.

- Document internal audit findings and recommendations.

- Assist in the follow-up and implementation of internal audit recommendations.

Risk Assessments:

- Support the team in conducting risk assessments to identify and evaluate financial and operational risks.

- Assist in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

- Contribute to the maintenance of the risk register.

Tax Filings:

- Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

- Gather and organize financial data required for tax computations.

- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations.

- Support in tax planning activities under supervision.

Financial Analysis:

- Assist in the analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas of concern.

- Prepare financial reports and presentations as required.

- Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.

- Support management in making informed financial decisions.

Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.

- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.

- Participate in compliance audits and reviews.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate and organized audit documentation and working papers.

- Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing audit findings and recommendations.

- Ensure all documentation is in line with firm standards and regulatory requirements.

Team Collaboration:

- Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and sharing knowledge.

- Assist in mentoring and training junior team members, as required.

- Communicate effectively with clients and build strong working relationships.

Continuous Learning:

- Stay updated on the latest developments in accounting standards, auditing practices, tax laws, and industry trends.

- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and taking on new challenges.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Mandatory: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from a recognized professional accounting body.

- Experience: 1-3 year of post-qualification experience in audit and/or taxation.

Location: Chennai.

Skills and Competencies:

Technical Skills:

- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, Ind AS) and auditing standards.

- Familiarity with tax laws and regulations in India.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Knowledge of accounting software and audit tools is an advantage.

- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to think critically and apply professional judgment.
